It will be near impossible to sign Pavard for free next year. He will change his mind even if he wants us at this moment. PSG , Real, Barca all can pay premium €€€€ , but I bet he chooses Saudis with 25M€ net a year.

Schuurs would be decent, but would be difficult i think, Torino needs a new defender.

Our track record in the timing/ closing of deals this summer is appalling. Joke of a club.

I'll give this transfer about a 50% percent probability. Would be 100% if we would have went for him at the start of the mercato like everyone was suggesting we should do. No way we get Schuurs if this falls through. Torino will ask 40mil given how late in the window it is.

So there seems to be two considerations in play:

1. Bayern need a replacement
2. For whatever reason, we're apparently setting deadlines...?

The first issue, I get. And I get the suspicion this miserable prick Tuchel has zero intention of actually letting Pavard go and that they are really half-assing their attempts to sign a replacement. They can and will use him for a year and let him walk for free.

The second issue is absolutely idiotic on our part. The transfer window doesn't close for a full week. We're not in any fucking position to be setting such demands like "he needs to be signed by Monday or we walk away." Given our pathetic budget and worse ownership, opportunities like this for an elite player are extremely rare. We need to just shut the fuck up and not make this even more difficult by needlessly acting tough. If we have to take a dick here and wait for Bayern, so be it.

On that note, where was this acting tough when we sold one of the best midfielders in the league for a pathetic €17m? That toughness would've come in handy when the Saudi's broke the agreement for Broz and reneged on the agreed fee of €23m + 2m bonuses. Now we have the bravado to start setting deadlines and threatening to walk away if the deal is not done on our terms/schedule? Get fucked and shut up.

What I fear is that Pavard has pissed off Tuchel and Bayern directors with his sulking zero motivation effort in trainings and he will be set as an example. That when you're a Bayern player you can't demand shit. Especially moving to Italy. Ze germans will have a mental vomit when a player prefers pasta over bratwurst and sauerkraut.

30M€ loss for no reason is a lot , but pissed off Bayern bosses might be willing to go that road imo.

Fuck I don't know. Atleast Correa left haha

De Vrij as part trade :) + Rano can come out of retirement to help us out. He loves us. That is 2. Loan with option to buy but in all seriousness 27m for this dude seems like a bit much

Bratwurst chopped up thru pasta and a jar of cheap pasta sauce poured over it ftw. A Scottish delicacy 😂

I think we set deadlines (if this rumor is true), because we don't have a replacement, and with our limited budget will take a lot of time to find one.

Apparently Bayern promised Pavard that he could leave but this somehow changed when Tuchel arrived. Anyway Bayern never really stood in their players will to leave the club if they wanted to. They let Thiago leave, Lewandowski and so on. I don't think they want to set an example. It seems like they don't find a proper replacement or maybe just overpriced ones because everyone knows that Bayern need a replacement asap. I think it will still happen since it is all agreed between Bayern and Inter and we have good relationships

Here's a thought. Maybe Bayern did not plan on selling him, they just entertained the thought of keeping the good relations they have with us (i don't understand why and what they are, feel free to enlighten me).

I mean say what you want about Bayern, but they always have a backup plan in place, very german of them. It appeared they did not have one with Sommer, and they don't have one with Pavard. Not very Bayern for me to have two deals like this in one transfer window.
