I think this team needed some time and adjustments, and they rightfully got that in second half by inzaghi cos he didn't make any early substitutions.

It's difficult to play on a high level for some of these players when they don't have regular crutches like barella, thuram lautaro etc... helping them out. Once they clicked in that role of them being fundamental players, it all kinda fell in place for us, even before first team players started coming in.

14 shots, 8 on target, 69% possession, 91% pass accuracy, 9 fouls and 6 corners. Tale of two halves for sure, so much better in the 2nd half, even before the subs ( starters) came on. Bisseck really good especially in 2nd half Frattesi, Asllani improved and our ancient secondary strikers scored. From 3-0 down to a draw, with multiple chances to win it. Kinda pleased.

Let's evaluate the reserves: Augusto not so good overall, Asllani bad 1st half markedly improved in second, Bisseck, starting to like this guy, Frattesi disappointing 1st half, improved a lot in 2nd. The kraken was never a factor, lurking in the depths. Surprisingly, Audero wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be. The ancient ones, Arnautovic, Sanchez pissed me off, but in the end did alright. Cuadrado was Cuadrado: sometimes good next second awful

The first half was a copy from Sociedad game - they fucked us hard. The only difference is that Benfica managed to score on their chances.

Great response in the second half. Should boost the team confidence.
