Spalletti took Miranda (and Icardi) to his pre match press conference and flat out said "Miranda will play." So.. there's that.

The only plausible explanation would be that he wants experience specifically against Barca. IIRC, Miranda was a starting CB when they defeated Barca in the CL. He also has same (probably even better) level of synergy with Skrinko, so I doubt that's gonna be an issue.

I would suprise Barcelona with change of tactics. Take first half defensively, than substitute Miranda with Perisic. It may seem crazy, but why not.

Lautaro-Icardi

Asamoah can do both the job of LB along with Perišić and be DM. Valero to do playmaking and Vecino for the running, Vrsaljko to help Škriniar in defence and we are covered apsolutly. We also can still be dangerous with both Lautaro and Icardi in attack and Perišić also on the field.

How is that proven beyond a doubt? If anything, Miranda is the most proven CB we have at this level. A few average games don't negate his obvious quality and experience. People have such short memories here, Miranda has been a fucking legend for us last 3 seasons.

IMO rotating CBs is a smart move by Spalletti when we have 3 CBs of such high quality. Its one of the few places where we have quality depth, it would be stupid not to use it.
