GdS suggesting Atalanta are in a bit of an injury crisis for this weekend. Spinazzola, Ilicic and (maybe) Caldara are all injured, while Petagna is injured. These are important players for Atalanta, so hopefully it gives our players a boost to see them missing.

Pretty much. This screams 1-1 to me. If we score first, we'll probably spend the next hour doing nothing until Atalanta equalise then desperately hang on for the draw instead of going for the win. More likely, if Atalanta score first, we'll still spend the next hour doing nothing and make a token effort towards the end. Win, lose or draw, we haven't failed to score at Bergamo since 92' so we'll probably score.. and then settle for the 1-1 instead of going for the win because, you know, it's easier to stop at 1-1 and say "we tried" than it is to win.

That said, it's possible we win this match and enough of the remaining matches to convincingly finish 3rd or 4th. It's also completely possible we don't win a single match for the remainder of the season. Absolutely impossible to tell with this team.
