Wow, we have come to the last 7 games now and Atalanta (A), Juventus (H) and Lazio (A) will be three of our opponents. Lets hope for the best !! We have missed a lot of opportunities, despite getting chances. :(

A win will definitely put us back to the top 4 spots, but can we win?

We don't have an option, this game is a must win. We basically have 7 finals left.

Can't lose this one but Atalanta always gave us trouble on their ground. Well, if we don't win any tough matches - Torino, Milan, now Atalanta and later Juve and Lazio, we wouldn't deserve CL anyway.

Need better mentality. We played well and should have won against Milan, deserved atleast a draw vs. Toro, yet we only got 1 point out of these. We always get these troll wins in the begin of the season, how about when it matters?

I'm pretty sure we will win this game and pass both roma and lazio but choke against cagliari. It's been a trend in recent years.

Champions League is pretty much impossible now, we need to win 5 of the last 7 matches
Dude, wtf? We are 1 point behind 3rd and 4th. :yao:
Can't you guys see that this won't be over till the last fixture? All the half-season long Roma, Lazio and us are passing each other and every fixture someone fucks up. We can finish 6th and we can finish 3rd and secure CL two fixtures before the end, it all depends on us.
Same with the title race. How the hell do people think that Rube already won the title while they have to play us away just after playing Napoli? And they also have Roma after that.

If we couldn't beat Torino then I'm not sure what we can do against Atalanta in Bergamo... say bye bye to 3rd place :|

This game is now like a final. No excuses, if we don't win this we don't deserve to play in the CL.

Yeah, it comes down to this imo. We are 1pt behind and theres Roman derby, where either one of them looses points. We need to add 3 to go ahead by 1.

Then there is the derby with Juve where we could draw most probably and Lazio, Roma go ahead again.

We need to take home the win. Period.

A win would be great, but it's not necessary. Lazio and Roma will both continue to drop points and as long as we're within 3 points of Lazio in week 38, we have a chance. Lazio's next 5 matches are all against above average opponents, so as long as Inter don't completely shit the bed, we should be in a position to qualify in week 38. Not saying it will be easy, but this whole "must-win match" thing is a bit overstated, IMO.

Not really. It depends on who wins the Roma derby. If Lazio wins the derby, we will still have a shot. If Roma wins the derby, our door is almost closed.

I don't understand this... Inter still have a match vs. Lazio, which means we control our destiny against them. Apart from a draw (best result), wouldn't we rather Roma win the derby?

Lose this and it's goodbye Champions League. Just my opinion.

nah.

Stop quoting just part of the message, it takes it out of context and it's just a really stupid thing to do.

It said that 5 out of 7 pretty much secure us CL, the reason why CL it's pretty much impossible it's because we're not winning 4 in 7 either.

nah.

If Lazio wins Roma will drop. That makes it easier for us and will most likely between Lazio and us to grab 3rd and 4th as Roma will be the one chasing and Roma isnt great in chasing result historically. If Roma wins the derby, Roma will certainly get third place considering their easy games except Juventus.

This seems to be the crux of your argument. Kind of superstitious, no?

Fine with me. Yes, Roma has an easier schedule than Lazio down the stretch. Plus, Inter play Lazio in wk 38. For those reasons, I'd prefer Roma to win the derby (if it's not a draw). IDGAF about 3rd -- prob already lost tbh. I just want CL.

I don't believe in a lot of things, but I do believe in the Zhang-Percassi commercial relationship. #strategy

Atalanta-Inter 2-4
8' Gagliardini, 16' Gomez, 22' Gomez (pk), 60' Icardi (pk), 75' Icardi, 79' Karamoh

Gasperini, don't you dare

Err no. Roma had similar problem in the first half of the season.

If you have a chance to fight for 3rd why would you let it go to Roma?

Between us and 3rd place is just 1 point.

A draw in the derby will be the best outcome for us though.

GdS suggesting Atalanta are in a bit of an injury crisis for this weekend. Spinazzola, Ilicic and (maybe) Caldara are all injured, while Petagna is injured. These are important players for Atalanta, so hopefully it gives our players a boost to see them missing.
