I understand that, but dog doesn't have a brain like ours, we can actually DECIDE what to do.

I understand where are you going with this Alex.

You're right, human brain like ours is fantastic thing, and free will is fantastic because we can decide for ourselves.

So, in your previous example, when women got more rights (which is ofcourse a very good thing) it was not thanks to the evolution. The brain didn't evolve, but the ideas evolved. We decided that they need to be equal to men. It was our decision, it was not thanks to evolution.

Going back to main point, the nature, is the nature. What you decide is not relevant, because nature is nature, you don't debate with nature. 2+2 equals 4, and the same is with a man. A man is built from this, this and that, and you can't change that.

You can ofcourse not agree with that, but it's like pouring not 100% gasoline to a car. Sure it will still work, but not the same when you pour pure gasoline.

You can decide to drink only gasoline from tommorow morning, because you're free. But it will kill you, because nature created you to drink water not gasoline.

Every antropologist who I've read say that it is scientificly proved, that human is an organism who eats both flesh, and plants, and it was like that forever, since the creation.

But every vegan, or vegetarian is trying to cancel this by different theories, that you can easily find in the internet, that a man was never a meat eater, or that a man is not really an organism who should eat flesh, and gives hundred of different reasons for that.

But you don't argue that 2+2 equals 4 with mathematicians, do you ? ;)

To see something is happening and don't admit the truth like your blind or something, iam not talking of someone in particular, it's all people in general.

Alex, I don't think people (who eat meat) are ok with torturing animals, far from it. You even say people "in general", but those people "in general" are not the owners who produce meat food are they ?

The reasons for why the industry is how it is, is because of the profit, the money. You can't blame people who eat meat, for some fraction of rich idiots who will do everything to make penny more.

Eating meat, is hardly the same as being indiferent to animals, far from it. If it wasn't for animals, we wouldn't have the food to feed on, and they are extremely important, not only for us, but mostly for the whole environment of earth.

The majority of people, and those are ordinary people, who have enough money just to live, and not live in villas and all, do not have any influence over rich people, especialy big corporations. You know how it is, especialy in US, where money is present wherever you go.

maybe off topic so delete if need be..

i believe fasting is very important to a happy life, especially with religion

http://www.beliefnet.com/Faiths/2001/02/Fasting-Chart.aspx#eastern

i would recommend for people to try fasting the way their religion deems, the way it asks us to :)

in my humble opinion, regardless of faith that is the way to true purification

and if that chart is unreliable or offensive, sorry! i was rushing and whacked the first thing i found with multiple religion fastings..

Well Luka, I think meat-eaters have the responsibility to do something about torturing animals. Maybe we shouldn't go the extreme and stop eating, but maybe pressure those companies to treat animals more humanely.

But the problem is that we are all too lazy to stand up for what's right. I see documentaries about how horribly chicken and cows are stocked and slaughtered, but then I go and buy meat. I think there is a deeper issue, not enough people stand up for what's right :depress:

If it was so easy, to stand up, the world would be a lot better place, the politicians wouldn't lie, because they would be afraid, the companies wouldn't polute environment etc. etc.

This is the world of profit, and something like that is very difficult to do.

I agree.

On a brighter note, if you take it out of context, this sounds hilarious.

"One chicken at a time"

Everything can be done ;)

But again, easier said than done. How many times ordinary people win against rich people, or corporations ?

You know how it works...
