Just 1 thing I want to clear up from the mods are you going to delete any post which uses the trick?? A very strict policy or will you evaluete each incident on it's own?? I personally believe you guys should show a bit of understanding towards some members. Who are just trying to post some news( not spamming).

Now I got my rant out of the way.

I think this rule is stupid. You will just spend time cleaning up posts where there's a lot of garbage. If you want to do that, then be our guest.

TBH this is a decent idea. 75 characters if hardly anything and if you cant manage that then you shouldnt even bother writing it. Personaly i dont give a toss if people write 1 word or write a bleeding essay, as long as its not crap that you write i dont care how long it is

Guys, we are still in the midst of determining if this rule is more beneficial or detrimental to the forum's health. If truth be told, 75 characters is very little, and in the context of an opinion, one can easily find enough characters (and words) to fill that limit.

The problem arises in several situations, for e.g. - when one is asked a question that requires a simple answer, or, wishing a person a Happy Birthday, and the like.

We're still monitoring the situation, and the character limit is by no means permanent, yet.

Tim I say make a 75 character limit in sections such as games, players & transfers. thats where you go to read good posts from good peoplel, not one line crap.

But in places like Fan exchange, most of the time if its not a topic your interested in you wont read or if its a welcome or happy birthday message, so maybe we should not have the 75 limit in those sections. I think thats the best idea.

Yeah Helal, I understand how you feel. Unfortunately, the option for the character limit cannot be modified in a way so as to be applicable to certain forums only.

Basicly,
he can only set that rule to the whole forum
but he cant put the 75 rule to sub forums such as games and Tactics or the Fan Exchange for example

And it would be great if you could continue to do so as we are still encouraging our members to avoid one liners.
Further if we see a negative change of trend we could always go back and re-implement the 75charachter limit.

Its as if women have a 50-word-per-sentence quota just like this.

A very good idea for the forum in my eyes. Spam can be very annoying and makes the forum look bad for having spammers around

How about bringing the 75 characters limit back?? I dont know what about u but since the summer break the quality of the forums has gone down the hill in my eyes. Wich is mainly coz alot of new members joined and well not all of them but some are just addicted to sensless posts. So i guess bringing this rule back fore some time would help.
I know a lot of people are against this rule but i prefer to have the rule and some quality posts then a hole lot of bs posts and u have to search fore the few good ones.
