Ok, now everyone knows how to avoid posting 75 characters. I think or the spaces between the letters should not be counted or you'll have to back down the rule... Or leave the spamming to continue...:p

We have noticed that there has been a lot of posts where a lot of
  1. ----------
  2. ..........
  3. (spaces)
  4. Unnecessary comments like "I hate this rule"
have been used to bypass the 75 character per post rule.

Now, dear members, we would like to appeal to you to please stop using such tricks again. :) It is technically impossible to adjust the settings keep out this tricks so the moderators will now have to manually deal with this tricks. From now onwards, posts that use any of the above trick will be deleted by the moderators.

Please bear with the rules for now. We are trying to experiment such measure in order to raise the quality of the forum. This new character per post limit rule is temporary and we will only continue it if we see that it brings more pros than cons. If you are unhappy about the new rule, please post your opinions in this thread and we will definitely take them into our consideration.

Thank you very much for your co-operation.

Han I'm in favour of this rule but you guys need to cut us some slack. I know some people are abusing the ---- trick, but some aren't.

The happy birthday thread for example, or the welcome to new members, you just find yourself sitting there trying to get to 75 characters.

Sometimes somebody ask a question and you give a direct answer which is perfectly fine, but then you have to try and make the sentence longer in order to post.

I think some people are getting very annoyed with this, it'd be a shame if people stop posting because of it.

Again, let me stress that I agree on the rule as a principle, I just don't know if it's actually helping a lot with the spamming.

I think the same as frisko i mean its just hard to writ more then 75 characters in a happy birthday thread ore a welcome tread so in there i dont mind seeing those tricks.
While i agree with u if u delete the posts in other treads

Edit: Ohh and i realy think we need this rule coz some members are still spaming with the 75 character limit

is it really so hard to type somethin like.. "happy birthday (name) hope you have a great day. Got any plans lined up then?" Thats about 75 chars - most peoples names are longer..

What we're all trying to get across is that if the message is under 75 chars then maybe it doesn't belong as a post and should be sent through PM instead.

General chit chat can be done through PM or msn. And if you're asked a direct question then answer, then elaborate on why you have that opinion.

Not so tough really ;)

Maybe if people stick to this we'll actually get back to the days of quality posts, which is the whole idea of all this.

I agree with Katie. I sometimes find myself writing a short post and having to conjure up something to fill the rest.

It isn't really hard so I don't really get it why people are complaining about it!

Ex.1: Hi Catanha, glad to have you on board and I hope you have a great time here amongst your Interista brothers. And don't worry about your English.

Ex.2: I agree with Catanha. He makes a very valid point, I truly think that soaking rice makes it less fluffy.

etc. etc. etc.

ER and what if someone makes a double post, and then wants to edit out his other post, what should he write?
This is a double post. I am very sorry for it. I hope it never happens again, but sometimes its not my fault, but the forums fault. The original points I wanted to make about the players are in the post above. You can ignore this post.

I disagree with Hamed and Katie. I don't see whats wrong with having short congratulatory posts in a birthday or welcoming thread. To me those are not spam.

You guys say if we just want to congratulated someone we should do it through pm if thats the case whats the point in having bday and welcoming threads??

Just my 10 cents on this issue.

You certainly have a point, however I rather see people making a bit of an effort in the occasional b-day or welcome threads as you rightly mentioned that allowing members to post one liners on daily basis in every single thread.

Yeah you nailed it Ashkan, I don't deny that I get a bit annoyed sometimes but it's surely worth it, people just need to get used to it.

Viva 75 characters rule!!!! It actually works. Where i wouldve been typing one-liners b4, I find myself talking more on a certain something. But since seeing people like Pablito, pajo and helal posting smiley faces to taunt us, It's probably safe to assume that some can be excluded. If that's the case, some should be excused. Btw, im guilty of ..................................ing. Now I feel better.
