Good job mods. The charcter limit is cool by me, I am a little long winded most times anyway so it shouldnt be a problem for me most of the time.

Anyway hilarious about the Durai plaigerism thing. Just when you thought the guy couldnt be any more pathetic he proves you wrong once again.

However, it wasn't the simple questions we had in mind there, Inter101.

Spamming is rife since it is easy to do so; type a couple of words, hit send, and you're there. However, the character limit is implemented to ensure that spammers aren't going to have it easy in their quest to add post after post.

I think the limit has helped a lot and the spaming problem is kinda solved, i dont know if it s possible ore not, but i thik it would be good if we could do somthing like u can post 2 ore 3 post with under 75 characters a day.

Unfortunately, that is not possible; vBulletin cannot be configured this way.

Tim, the new measures are working very well except when you only want wish someone a happy bday like in the JZ thread than it causes problems.

I also hate restrictions but I think the mods had no choice here. The forum was getting out of hand so they had to act.

Yep no more one-line spamming, but unfortunately spamming can continue. At least the forums are not used as chat by some people, and finally that "Vs thread" is going to cease its existence

I think the limit should be lifted after a couple of months, as it's difficult for some members. eg. I had a question for someone in a topic that was less than 20 characters of course, and I couldn't make it...

I get you man! People are typing some stuff like "**** this 75 character limit" or "this message was brought to you by the 75 character limit", me included, and that causes more spam actually
And where's the fairness in that rules apply to some members, but not others? With all due respect to Helal, and some others whom the rules don't apply to, have u admins read animal farm? It says something like this:

at the start:
"ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL"

just before the end:
"ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS"

So, to prevent this forum from corrupting to a premature end, and dwindling popularity as a result, please reconsider. Even if i don't have that 75 character limit, i would want it to be implemented on me. Hey, its all about neutrality here
