I got a little excited that we're considering names other than depressing Teremi and Arnautovic. But I've found out that this third name is 34 years old and has never scored more than 10 goals per season in his career.

I trust in Marotta’s judgment. He knows when it is essential to keep the team competitive with a non-bargain signing that might not be good in other circumstances. Taremi is that signing in my opinion.

If we were to sign a 34 year old striker, he would have to have a clean injury history. Choupo-Moting doesn’t have that any more than Arnautovic. He was 95 days out last season with several injuries, two of which were knee injuries. You know it’s only gonna get worse.

At this point I would be very happy eith Taremi.
