theres no money for Scalvini... I also am not a fan of him, so i don't really care who overpays for him.

Yea we need to use our very limited budget where most needed. CB really is 3rd thing we need to focus on

We need a starter up top with Lautaro when he gets cold. We have 2 very short term options in Sanchez and the Austrian dude. Thuram is a question mark but he is 3rd choice at best because he isn't a goal scorer. Might be enough this season but our priority should be #9 and a GK then someone to replace or compete with Acerbi.

Well sometimes it's better to have two short term solutions in attack if we fix our midfield and our defence instead of spending for another high caliber striker. We'll go all in ..in about two summers, maybe sell a player from our midfield to get a good striker

So far I am happy with what we got. Rather not win a scudetto this season if it means we are getting the right pieces to rule Serie A for the next upcoming seasons.

Would you please point me towards that team that has two high goal scoring attackers!

City has Haaland supported by a selection of Silva, Graelish, Bruyne, Foden and Alvarez…

Other like Arsenal have the job more evenly spread out with Martinelli, Saka and Jesus.

Barca has Lewandowski, Fatti and Ferran Torres

Bayern is Kane, Sane and Coman or Gnabry.

Real has Junior and Rodrygo and are desperately looking for Benzema replacement.

Liverpool is a selection of Diaz, Gakpo, Jota and Salah

These are just 6 top teams with either one main attacker or where the job is more spread out over several but without a clear main goal scorer. Obviously better then what we have because their budget allows them too, but still clear none of them have two goal scoring classics attackers. It’s often some iteration of an attack and wingers.

Our problem is that Dimarco and Dumfries simply isn’t providing enough that our system would actually normally dictate that they should. Martinez are our main goal scorer, the one next to him is not meant to be it, he is meant to build up, assist Martinez. It’s quite clearly in the first two game what Thuram main job is and that is link and assist. We would have to see how many goals he has in him it’s too early to judge. So no Thuram isn’t a third choice someone needs to realise how teams play today. In fact I’ll almost say it’s a bit old fashioned we have two attackers.

I actually watched the FIO - Lecce game and it gave me some new perspectives, like before I ranked him cause all the games I watched him play was against some bigger teams like Inter, and it hides his current weakness quite well as their form stays pretty compact and less shifting; but when they are not sitting deep and the ball moves side to side there are some questions about his position, but ironically he handles direct long overhead ball very well, lol maybe even better than De Virj according to FIF, also he leaves too much space in 1 on 1 situations; I say it would be the best if he gets 2-3 more years under his belt before joining us, but then it might to late to sign him at that point. It is hard to tell, cause his teammates' meh positions also made him need to cover a bit more, which he didn't.

Milenkovic on the other hand seems a decent choice for center CB, but I would aim higher if possible.

Side note is there are a few young Lecce players that impressed me, not Inter material yet, but they could turn out good, if they get lucky.
Mohamed Kaba - Understand the game very well for his age, good anchoring - 21
Lameck Banda - the kind of player that can create something out of nothing, but could turn into Zarate - 22

Name 1 summer we havent sold a key player? This trend will continue in 2024 too. The reason why we as interisti won't riot is Beppe smoothes the healing with his chess moves by finding another cheaper gem, who can do almost similar job.

I sometimes wonder when will Piero and Beppe give up and retire. But maybe they are enjoying this. Sick men. Sipping champagne after somehow making the team stronger thanks to breaking Zhangs coin piggy.

I'm actually happy that we can sell a player and get so much out of it. I was expecting a lot worse, we actually got two players from Player Suggestions that even I wrote down (Pavard, Carlos Augusto), we lost some pieces, the names we have are worse but we seem to play better football?

Let the trend continue. The only player that would I don't want to sell is Bastoni and even he could and should be sold if a huge offer comes. As long as Don Beppe is here, we are a top4 side and we aren't just collecting oldies.

I would put Martinez there as well, we just aren’t going to replace him that easily, we will moan about it the day he leaves, it will take us years to find a comparable alternative.

Barella can much easier be replaced

Barella, so far, has been sliiiiightly overhyped. On form, he is pure class, but that form comes once in a blue moon.

Italian players in italy overhyped, you don’t say.

It’s like english players in england.

Their capabilities tend to be blown completely out of proportion. But really work to our advantage when we have to sell them.

I like Barella, but he does lack composure of a Iniesta or Modrić to be actually considered world class. Has everything but that main ingredient for a midfielder.

I keep my opinion. The only one in our roster who has world class potential is Bastoni. I mean truly world class. Creme de la creme.
Barella and Lautaro are at least one level below.

Bastoni is no better than Barella or Lautaro. In terms of consistency. Otherwise all three could be considered world class when on their day. My guy even mixes it up with getting a flu every other week.

Inter Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on Lille defender Tiago Djalo with a view for a summer transfer.

The 23-year-old is a versatile defender who mainly features as a centre-back but can also operate as a fullback on either flank.
The Nerazzurri have been watching the Portuguese for quite some time now. At one point, observers considered him the primary candidate to replace Milan Skriniar. The Slovakian joined PSG on a free transfer last summer.
But sadly for the young defender, he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in May. This devastating injury has kept him out of action ever since.
Nevertheless, Tuttosport (via FcInterNews) claims that Inter are still monitoring Djalo.
Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio will reportedly send scouts to assess his condition. The Beneamata must understand the impact of the injury on the player’s development

If we can sign Djalo for cheap in January, that would be nice. Getting our defence younger. Maybe sign him and let him stay at Lille or something. Or send Bisseck on loan to play and get Djalo who has more experience in tougher games (Ligue 1 mostly but also some CL games).

Also, I've never seen him play so...

Does he count as HomeGrown for UEFA? He was at Milan earlier but don't recall how long.

We lack a pure CB such as Vrij/Acerbi, isn't this guy more a Bastoni type?
