Would be a busy summer of offloading all the players Inter can't sell.

Do not despair my friends, all is proceeding exactly as foreseen. Turn your thoughts back to 2016, and the glorious memories of Euro 2016, when Master Conte performed so well in Europe!

I do not want to stoke rumours, but the pieces of the (low-cost) puzzle are falling into place. Once the one they call Erikson is eradicated, we may well be able to play a 3-4-1-2 after all:
Pelle-Eder
Giaccherini
Young-Vidal-Gagliardini-Darmian

Through the darkness of futures past, Master Conte longs to see,
One calls out between two worlds, Eder walk with me

And that's why you shouldn't give to Conte a say in transfers. Having a restricted budget makes things difficult but it's not the end of the world if you're willing to look outside the box and try something new. There are decent players you can get at a low cost if you know where to look. But the problem is Conte is usually interested in his former players or his former targets from previous. When you have a restricted budget on top of a very limited pool of targets, then you have a huge problem in your hands.

Lucas Pratto of River could have been a cheap solution for the backup striker role but he moved to Feyenoord on loan. Inexpensive, good striker, very good experiences in competing for the Libertadores and the Argentinean champions, has Italian passport but Conte probably doesn't even know his name so we will seek for Pelle, Eder, Zaza and other expensive trash instead
I'm actually surprised I didn't hear Troy Deeney's name yet. We're lucky that Brexit happened now and we won't get to see more Ashley Youngs and Victor Moses deals coming in.

Sky: Napoli remain firm in its position when it comes to outgoing Polish striker Milik: the Azzurri want at least €15M, a figure considered excessive given that the player has only six more months remaining in contract. At the moment, Inter do not seem to be in the race for Milik due to cost. According to Sky, the two front-runners are Atletico Madrid and Olympique Marseille.
In case he is not beingh bought this January, he will move on a free transfer to either Inter or juBentus in summer.

Dzeko rumor is just bogus. Dzeko don't want to move now, Roma don't want to sell him and we cannot afford him.

Eder rumor is really funny though. Imagine us offering him, or Pelle for instance, anything more than 6 months contract. :trollol:

Graziano Pellé actually has offers from Juventus and Inter as well as Premier League and United Arab Emirates clubs! He is expected to decide his future this week, sources tell Football Italia.

The former Parma forward may have more chances to play at Juventus as the Old Lady are still involved in three competitions, while Inter have been eliminated from Europe, but Pellé remains open to all options at the moment. The former Southampton star joined Shandong Luneng in 2016 and scored 64 goals in 132 appearances in all competitions with the Chinese team.
He is tall (1.94m) and seems to be in the mould of a Lukaku type of towering forward, would come on a free and probably on a reasonable wage.

Éder`s stats are better in the Super League (54 apps, 31 goals and 16 assists!) and recently turned 34, however being 1,78 m tall he rather seems like a Lautaro backup which we already have in Sanchez, so this might be just a media speculation given the relationship between Inter and Suning Jiangsu (his contract expires in summer, they could loan him for free). I like the player as a person and his attitude has been always professional, certainly not a winger but a striker.

Chinese Super League imposes salary cap, forcing Eder to leave Jiangsu Suning. In China, Eder makes €5M per season and given the recent salary cap of €3M, he must leave China. The Nerazzurri have had contact with his agents to get the player’s approval to add him in January.

The idea is to replace Pinamonti with experienced striker so he can continue his development. So unless you guys want the club to pay for Gervinho, it seems that the choices are:
1. Pellé
2. Éder

3. Mandžukić :p

It really looks like our dark ages 12/13 with Matías Silvestre, Ezequiel Schelotto, Jonathan, McDonald Mariga, Gaby Mudingayi, Zdravko Kuzmanovic etc.
and Pinamonti it's fecking Samuele Longo

Some people forget Conte make Darmian to become one of the most reliable full back at Inter.

My Advice : Never underestimate Pelle and Eder under Conte. :eek:blivious:

Latest is Inter is not interested in Pelle (he's offered to Inter) and we haven't contacted Eder yet.

They also say we cannot afford Origi's wages so we need to clear something out of the way first. I'd say Origi might be the best choice because he would be 6-month loan (so no strings attached), the concern is how motivated he would be since isn't getting playing time in Liverpool but wouldn't probably get too many minutes here either.

Origi earns at Liverpool around 3m gross. If we can't even afford that, we're really broke.

I've understood we are really broke.

I've understood that we want to reduce our salaries at the moment. So replacing outgoing salaries with the incoming ones won't be enough, we need to "make money" with this operation.

Most of Nainggolan's salary is gone now. Then Pinamonti goes on loan somewhere, we pay maybe half of his salary (2m€ gross). Then if we can dump Eriksen and let's say half of his salary, that could give us room to do few additions.

Let's see how this goes but I feel Origi is a potential solution to the striker situation given it's so easy (just a loan which the owning club is pushing for).

While Origi did show a lot of promise as a kid, he hasn't really delivered on his potential. For a striker, he just doesn't score much. He is 2 years older than Martinez, so its time to stop talking about potential. If we are talking about a short term fix for 4th striker role, Eder will be as good or as bad as Origi. Neither is prolific, and they will be like a distant 4th choice striker, only to be used if we are decimated by injuries or covid. I think this is just a waste of money, might as well keep Perisic on as the worst case 4th striker.

Neither of them is at the level of our previous targets (Dzeko, Giroud), ie quality back ups who could be used to rotate Lukaku. If we can get some for the short term of that quality, then its definitely worth it.

sky - Eder said yes to Inter, but Inter are waiting to sell Pina and Eriksen so they can get someone better than Eder.

And Eder will have smiling face waiting on the sideline for his 3-5 minutes cameo, unlike Eriksen.

Honestly, I am not expecting big names or big potential players with Conte at helm. Seeing his choices in Juve (and chelsea), he chosen the likes of giacherinni, matri or padoin. And for whatever its worth, it worked in the past. So, I am expecting we will get washed up players that work hard and follow exactly what Conte wants. And I am totally fine with that if it means we are getting Scudetto this year.

Isn't Eder the last Inter player to score from a free kick?
