Tonali is very far away from being a starter for Inter.

Still a lot of mistakes that are based on lack of experience. I'm all for picking him up and loaning for 2 seasons. His feet work damn well and his long passes are still pretty "hit or miss" but he will be a good project moving forward.

If we pick him up we have to be realistic about when he'll have the quality to not look out of place and what his ceiling actually is.

While this is true and sadly hilarious, Tonali also gives the ball up... A LOT, and he gets a lot of love for his 50/50 hoofballs that he sends over the top. If you watch an entire game of his he makes those passes 10 times, and gives it up 9 times to get that 1 highlight reel pass.

I think he's a great player and I think he'll become even better. I want to see him in Black and Blue one day, but putting him in and pushing for a Scudetto will be a little difficult. Nothing wrong with loaning him back to Brescia for a year, and then to a team that plays a similar 3-5-2 system if he still needs more time.

If you follow that path, he'll be 21 and have 3 years of Serie A/Top-Flight football and he should be ready to run.

I'd prefer Eriksen if it's possible to land him. SMS seems like a one season wonder so far.
