SMS is valued at 90m

40 + Politano + Gagliardini = 75M

So I guess 10-15m in bonuses would do it.

If both players are included then we should be offering less cash. Unless it's Vecino that is included rather than Gagliardini, then I don't mind. Unpopular opinion, but I would prefer Gagliardini stay and Vecino leave as he contributes more defensively. I can't stand Vecino starting every time and walking around the opponents box 95% of the game.

I would be of the same opinion, but now that we're playing with a 3-man midfield we can actually afford Vecino doing that. I think in the role that Conte envisions for that RCM spot, Vecino is a much better fit than Gagliardini, who has looked a tad lost in the pre-season games.

But then again if there's anyone who can turn Gagliardini into a 8/10 player, it's Conte. Wouldn't be distraught regardless of which of the two leaves.

We just bought Politano for a combined fee of 25M and if anything his value has slightly increased, yet somehow you guys value both at 35... Not to mention we bought Gagliardini also for about 25M and he's still pretty young and also could be useful for many teams, he hasn't flopped ala J. Mario for his value to decrease as drastically.

That is probably Lotito's valuation of the players.

Marotta should be - SMS (75mln) = Politano (25mln) + Gagsi (20mln) + 30mln.

Lol, then Lotito can fuck right off. We aren't paying 120M for a player like SMS. For that amount of money you can buy proven world-class players like Pogba or Eriksen, not some dude whose biggest achievement is 5th place finish with Lazio, coming off a mediocre season.

I don't see how their value is lower than what Inter paid for them, specially because we are not desperate to get rid of them - they will make good bench options for us.

Politano is definitely worth more than the 25m Inter paid for him. He may not be of the quality Inter need in a starter, but he is good enough for a team a level below. Someone like Fiorentina and Lazio. Ditto Gags, infact the rumours are that Inzaghi rates him very highly - sees him as a possible replacement for SMS. I would be disappointed if Inter sell them for less than 50m combined in todays market.

What you say, it's correct, Politano and Gags are Lazio and Fiorentina level. The big difference is: they never pay such a fee for these players! They buy under the radar players and many of them are developed to this level, a few become SMS or Bernardeschi!
Both teams have a low amortisation costs!
If you want SMS and try to avoid paying all 90m in cash, we can try to include Poli and Gags! But the math that both are 25m players and another 40m cash for SMS is false! Lotito will not accept!

Politano + Gagliardini + 20m is maximum for SMS.

He is my countryman and I watched him quite often in national team and Lazio and he could definitely provide strength, height and sometimes good technically made shots. But he can't give us creativity, speed and I also don't believe much in his consistency.

Anyway it's hard to imagine any deal with Lotito in last week of mercato. But he need to be ready for another drop of value for Sergej next year, because Savić will be mentally very low after another summer without a transfer in top club.

Couldn't agree more. I've seen much better football from the likes of Parolo, Lulic, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson than Gagliardini and Politano. And as you say, the ratio of money paid to value extracted from these 'decent' players, far favors Lazio.
