We actually need both Rafinha and Barella if we want to compete for Scudetto again.

---------Barella/Vecino-----Brozo/Gags------
--------------------9go/Rafinha---------------

And we need better wide attacking players.

Alas, we don't have the money to make that leap in 1 or even 2 mercatos.

Nicolo Barella please mgmt, thanks!
Rafinha doesn't seem realistic as we are still under SA

You say that but aren't Cagliari after something like 40/50m for him now?

The former is more expensive and more unrealistic

Yesterday we had no midfielder on the bench (Nainggolan injured and Gagliardini out of CL list)

But also for Serie A our midfield is too small, we need at least 2 more players in this departmend.
Barrella is too expensive, I think with this money we can buy for example 2 Nainggolans - and we can't allow us to splash 60-70 millions for such an unproven player.

And how much would cost "big names with immediate impact"?

barella and rafinha for around 60m maybe combined. i dont see what bigger name we can possibly get? i do would like to see the both of them feature for us. we need depth in midfield and i dont really believe brozovic can be relied upon for long periods of time. / as in sure starter without any direct competition

gags is trash, valero is ancient and vecino is super average. id also say brozovic is decent, although inconsistent, maybe because of fatigue? i like nainggollan

Barella alone will be 50-60million and Brozovic has been our best player this season, hes a bit more than decent

we should have signed Iličič this summer. Yea, he'd probably wouldn't be a starter against all the teams but against mid table or low table teams the guy is great. I am sure he'd be an upgrade over Valero and would not cost us that much.

I agree there, i posted that he would have been a great addition but the rumors died down when he got ill and the talks of Candreva and other midfielders leaving went nowhere.

Rafi might cost 30 if he forces his way. We know him and he knows us and played well and changed the way we look too.I wouldn’t put Barella as someone who would create immediate impact.

I see Barella as a long-term Ninja replacement, but would love to see him purchased over the summer. He would bring great energy off the bench and would start a bunch of games for rotation while learning under Ninja. Should also get another midfielder to start over Vecino, and I’d be pretty happy with Rafinha tbh.

Revv posted it hours ago on the players suggestions thread. It would be pointless to post it in here again. And even if i intended to, i would post the article from Calciomercato that had the exclusive. :D

I want this havertz kid, he reminds me so much of Kevin De Bruyne. He might be our answer to Milan’s Paqueta

Has anyone been checking else this Tonali kid from Brescia? He is quite impressive, Pirlo-esque really. Hoping we are in for him.
