i know many will disagree with that, but i feel that in the attacking phase we are probably the WORST teams of those who are fighting for a Champions League spot, bar lazio maybe.

roma, juventus and napoli can rely on many strikers, while half of our goals come from icardi. we cannot just pray that he never catches a cold. besides, he will have his fair share of bad days, like against torino.

candreva is not a scorer, perisic works his ass on the flank which prevents him from scoring much.

we need someone who adds goals and pastore can certainly score 5/6 goals in half a league. so by all means, let's go for him. he might not be the kind of player that fits the system best but i'm positive he would be an added value.

to those who might argue that roma has scored less than us: true, but i feel they don't depend on one striker and sooner or later they will add schick: their top scorer is dzeko, 7 goals out of 23, while icardi scored 13 out of 25 goals.

All i know is that Pastore is shit. Like in a way of bringing extra flavor in our team, he is shit.

I dont care about bench or no bench. He is overhypee shit. Surrounded by all those quality players, he never made a step forward in his career quality wise.

We need younger and better borja. Which is not tough to find at this point. We need a total workhorse that understands positioning and has perfection mentality for a simple game, someone to run and make simple passes.

I would never bench Gags, thats how you make players. You play them, week after week after week no matter what.

Anyway... i came here to say that everything about pastore has fail written all over it.

Who will he replace... and how?
Pastore wont do the dirty runs of vecino.
Pastore cant tackle like Gags.
Pastore doesnt have the experience of Valero.
Pastore doesnt even come close to Perisic.
Nor Candreva for that matter.

Also, fucking brozo is better than pastore.
I like to still believe that Mario is a beast of a player, but he has been so dissapointing lately.

Pastore will be slotted at AM.

He can pass better than everyone we have on the roster.
He can shoot from distance better than every other midfielder we have. Candreva is the only alternative.
He can get into the area to help the attacking players better than anyone we have.
He can control the tempo of play as well. His crossing is quite good, too.
And on top of it all, we lack his creativity.

He's an upgrade over Valero who could also be used in a deeper role when circumstances require it. Joao Mario hasn't performed well and we know what Pastore can bring to the table as an AM. I'm not sure if I'd be happy to sacrifice Joao now instead of giving him more chances but Pastore is too good to pass on.

Ricky Alvarez probably dreams of having the skill that Pastore has in his pinky toe. There's no comparison. I get what you're trying to say but it's the wrong player to label as such. If anything, Pastore is pretty similar to Aimar.
