Inter ready to bid €30m for ex-Barcelona target

Inter are ready to make a major bid for an Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder, El Mundo Deportivo write.

The Catalan paper claims that the Nerazzurri have a €30 million offer ready for the 22-year-old, who has struggled for playing time at the Vicente Calderon. He has been on Barcelona’s transfer radar before, too.

In a team chock-a-block with stars, the Argentine international has only been able to make 10 La Liga starts this season, but has still managed 8 goals and as many assists in all competitions.

Inter are looking to retool for next season, and someone like Correa is considered to be a strong option.

The Argentine’s eventual sale isn’t necessarily an idea Atletico like, but the Colchoneros wouldn’t mind so much if they were offered a big sum, which is precisely what could happen if Inter go through with their €30m bid.

Correa hasn’t had the best luck, in his defence, having a heart tumour treated after he moved to Europe from San Lorenzo. Atletico also rejected an offer from Barcelona from him last summer.
