dembele is like kaka

or pirlo

we would still have a young team with both, sure

valero, vecino, dembele, nainggolan so young midfielders and brozovic and gagliardini will play 5-10 times in a season. just sell gagliardini and watch your quality paps

you are 100% like italy, italian NT and moratti, value safe, dino, experienced, old players,

you just hate young players. hope it ends the same as it was with CL DNA milan, treble inter and italian NT.

dont forget to buy derossi, mao spallo loves him too

The fuck are you talking about? If we get Nainggolan/Dembele (I think we'll only get one of them, if any) it's so that we don't have to depend on Valero.

You list Brozovic as one of the young players shunted out of the lineup to be replaced by the oldie Vecino. The difference in age between the players? 1 year 3 months. This is not to mention that Brozo is and will likely remain ahead of both Vecino and Valero in the pecking order.

Inter Milan join hunt for Mousa Dembele as Serie A clubs battle to sign Tottenham midfielder

Inter Milan have become the fourth Italian club to show an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele this summer.

Dembele is entering the final 12 months of his contract and admitted the past season may have been his last at Tottenham.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to listen to offers for 30-year-old Dembele, despite describing him as one of the best players he has ever worked with.

Dembele’s superb Champions League display in Turin against Juventus attracted interest from the Serie A champions and they have since been joined by AC Milan, Napoli and, most lately, Inter Milan.

It is also thought Dembele has lucrative options in China, which leaves the former Fulham man with a big decision - move or stay put.

Tottenham would rather sell Dembele to a Chinese club, as Juve, Napoli and Inter Milan have qualified for next season’s Champions League and could face Pochettino’s side.

And chairman Daniel Levy is not prepared to allow the Belgium international to leave for a knock-down fee, despite his injury record.

Levy is still thought to value Dembele at over £20 million, with the player understood to be seeking wages in excess of £100,000 a week.

Dembele joined Tottenham from Fulham in 2012 for £15m and has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the club.

Regardless of whether or not Dembele leaves this summer, Tottenham are in the market for a new central midfielder to eventually replace him.

every time same BS. Player age is 30 and above? oh, he's old so we shouldnt get him. Who cares that Nainggolan is one of the best midfielders in Serie a (and i think he's top 10 in the world), he's old so lets pass this one.

I also like Dembele very much, but i think we need Nainggolan, he's our missing piece to become really strong team. If we get them both, we would have the best midfield in Serie A.

We will have the best midfield my ass! It won't be enough to win something and also will cripple our possibilities to make the next step.
In two years we will need to find replacements for Nainggolan, Dembele, Perisic, Asamoah, Miranda, Handanovic. We will need to change half of the team.

Last year when was the same shit with Vidal, I ask the question!
Tell me when a great club and by this, I mean the clubs who fight in the last games of CL, pay huge amount of money for a 30y player.
None of them. There is no one. Zidane and Higuain were 28-29 and we talk about world class players not about a fucking Dembele!

What is wrong with that?! All of them are going to their prime and easily can play 5-6 years on high level. Nainggolan and Dembele will have instant impact on the team and will increase the quality enough to secure CL spot next two years. Then we'll have finances to replace them.

If there’s a chance to sign nainggolan, you fucking take it. Especially with CL this season. You guys are nuts if you think 30 is old

I have no problem with either dembele or naingollan coming but for less than 30million especially when dembele is running out of his contract

When i was still playing FM, i cheat sometimmes. I open the editor and adjust everything making ibra, eto, maicon... 10 years younger and low salary, long long contract. It ends in disaster, even in FM.

People who are wanting 11 Skrinar are delusional at best. 1. Skriniar is a rare gem, a pure luck, in million of trial and errors. 2. Having too many, even, promising youngsters guarantee nothing but a lot of potential instability, if we somehow struggle and are not in the top 4 next year, we become a supermarket, a Coles, a Woolworths (yes, im in love with Aussie here quite a lot). 3. Rationally, we can spend but not Psg style thus no way we can talk about Kroos, Fekir... we come to the most reasonable market segment, a bit old but very high qualityayers, those who can play their critical part, short term though, in nurturing our path to stability and consistent growth.

P.s no way i think Dembélé is kaka, the two are just similiar technically in one regard, ball keeping.

So if sign young players and don't qualify for CL next season we will become a supermarket? What if we signed bunch of 30+ year olds and didn't qualify for CL next year? We will be a retirement home.

I don't think anybody here says 30 year olds are bad players. We are just saying that we want players with resale value specially since we are struggling financially. Or players who can stay here for a long time, be regular starters and form the backbone of the team; just like what the most successful teams in the world are doing.

Also, no one is saying to turn the team into a U-23 team. We just want youngster backups for our older players so these young players could slowly be integrated into the team and be able to replace the starters in the future. No one wants to get rid of Handa, Miranda or Perisic for example. We want them in the team because we realize that we need experience.

Nothing crazy, but just like what Roma or Napoli are doing.

If Nainggolan is really going to be sold for 30 million I'd take it. Anything above that really is a bad move. Don't get me wrong Nainggolan will improve us, and that's what we're looking for this summer, improvement. But for anything more than 30-35 million I feel like there are better options. Moussa Dembele is also a fitting alternative as he's a great player, but again no more than 25-30 million.

Either way, buying any of those two is a good move for the club for the right price. Even if they offer us a few years only, if we can have a strong team that will allow us to qualify for the champions league for the next two years then it's a great move.

MARKET ROUTES OF INTER

36 hours in London for Miranda and Dembele.
New contract to the Brazilian until 2020, there is still no signature. Ausilio and Gardini favorite for the Belgian.

The blitz in London by Inter lasted around 36 hours: departed from Milan late Wednesday morning, returned last night. On the agenda of this trip was the renewal of Miranda’s contract who is training with the Brazilian national team at the Tottenham training facility. And then, sporting director Piero Ausilio and CFO Giovanni Gardini also had the chance to see the London club: relationship between both sides is very good. Discussing Mousa Dembele was inevitable as the Belgian is one of two dream signings (the other is Chiesa) for Luciano Spalletti.

Sponsor Luciano - But let’s go back to the beginning and start in order from Joao Miranda who has an expiring contract in 2019. Ausilio has offered him an economic adjustment until June 2020 when the Brazilian defender will be almost 36 years old. This was discussed both Wednesday afternoon and yesterday morning at Enfield Training Centre. An acceleration inspired especially by Luciano Spalletti who wanted to confirm Miranda because the coach considers him an important leader not only on the field but also in the dressing room. Miranda is taking time but there is optimism. “In the back, in terms of central defenders, I want Skriniar, De Vrij, Miranda and Ranocchia” is the indication of the 59 year-old coach from Certaldo to Ausilio and Gardini. They are doing their best to satisfy the coach and together with the continuous refusal to negotiate for Skriniar despite massive interest is a good indication. Big clubs in Premier League, and Barcelona in particular, are always there, wearing sunglasses, around Inter headquarters. However, the 23 year-old has decided: “I am already at a big club,” he told Sme Sport. What shirt do I dream of, besides Inter’s? This is not a question that I can answer now: I will play against it in the Champions League, it would not be right…” In short, very little margin to negotiate for Skriniar: he wants to stay in the city of Milan.

Liking Mousa - A meeting with Spurs management was inevitable, as said previously. “we have not opened negotiations of any kind, just talk among friends,” said Ausilio. And a joke: “Are you always going to be interested in Lamela?” “No” was the response of Ausilio (with a smile). It is however normal that at this stage of the season, teams have at least been informally compared to certain market opportunities. And Dembele (contract expires in 2019) is really liked by Spalletti. In short, Ausilio has certainly reiterated that he wants the front seat in the even that the London club decides to sell the 30 year-old Belgian midfielder who has 74 appearances and five goals with the national team. The overall feeling with the player’s representatives is also very good. It must be said that the strong candidacy of Pochettino to the bench of Real Madrid could force Tottenham to block any negotiation pending the eventual arrival of a new coach. In any case, the impression is that Inter have acquired a small advantage over the competition. Bases have been laid, foundation has been found, nothing official even if the presence of Giovanni Gardini, very important man under Zhang’s staff, has an incredible importance in this blitz of Inter. Certainly Gardini, among other things was born in London, has also taken a very careful look at the new training center of Tottentham as Inter are constantly evolving in terms of infrastructure.

No lunch - Summing up: Wednesday was dedicated to Miranda and to Tottenham, dinner at the city center, then a trip to Enfield Training Centre yesterday morning, then off to a series of meetings with agents in London for a quick outlook on things. “I have not even had lunch…” Ausilio said yesterday as he returned to the city.

Dembele only has one year left in his contract with Tottenham (makes 4.5 million net per year) and, at the age of 31 (in July), he is not willing to renew it. He has decided to have another professional experience, this time in Italy, and has already said yes to Inter. However, Levy has started negotiation at 30 million euros because he does not have the intention to sell him. He is known in business to be very hard nosed negotiator. But thanks to the frequent contacts in recent days, Inter directors have understood that there is room for maneuver, also because they have the player on their side.

For Spalletti, Dembele is a perfect midfielder because he combines international experience (in CL and with Belgium) with physical strength, quantity and quality. Together with Brozovic, according to the coach from Certaldo, he can form a perfect couple in the midfield. It remains only to understand if in the meeting yesterday did Tottenham ask for any of the Inter player. Who could it be? Well Perisic is appreciated by Spurs which have expressed interest in the past, same goes for Brozovic.

Source: CdS

Dembele doesn't earn 4.5 Million net, think it's gross amount. Only Kane, Lloris and at max one more player is on big wage at Spurs, Kane is the highest earner and he earns 140k per week gross.

Not sure why you need to feel sorry.

Being old doesn't mean unhappiness, money compensates tbh.
