Milito still in plans of Inter, will stay
From the studios of Sky Sport 24, Massimiliano Nebuloni ensures that Diego Milito will stay at Inter for next season.
“Il Principle is still in the plans of Inter and is recovering but surely for next season, he will continue wearing the shirt of Inter,” said the journalist which covered Inter last season.
Branca: ‘I always accept criticism. Transfer? Need patience’
Marco Branca, surprisingly, talked to the reporters outside of Inter headquarters. When asked what names that came out of the meeting between him and Mazzarri, the Inter technical director said that “I believe it is still too soon so a bit more patience. Zuniga? No, we are only at the preliminary round of the transfer season. Need a little patience.”
Then FC Inter News asked Branca if he is bothered by the much criticism from the fans and also in the press. ”No, I always accept criticism,” Branca said. “The goal? It is fundamental to be competitive.”
Gino Peruzzi: ‘No offer for me’
For weeks now we have talked about Gino Peruzzi as a likely candidate to replace Javier Zanetti at Inter but the player himself has revealed that there is no offer to him and to his club Velez Sarsfield.
“I am a player of Velez Sarsfield and I only think about the next match. Neither me nor the club has received any kind of offer so for this reason, I only think of continuing here.”
FIFA agent Castagna: “Kovacic-Paulinho pair would be breathtaking”
While being interviewed by FantaGazzetta, FIFA agent and South American football expert Stefano Castagna commented positively about an Inter including Paulinho.
“If Inter want, we can do it,” said Castagna. “The new coach has brought a wave of enthusiasm. In midfield they need quality. With Kovacic, (Paulinho) would form a well-matched couple. The problem is that Brazilian clubs no long have a great need to sell.”
Paulinho has recently stated that he has no intention of leaving Corinthians, even though they are no longer in the Copa Libertadores, having been knocked out by Boca Juniors. He has been linked with a move to Inter for the last two years now, he himself fluctuating between saying he has no intention of leaving Corinthians or Brazil, and all but begging for a transfer to Inter.
“It will be no simple task,” conceded the FIFA agent. Paulinho has been named alongside the likes of Radja Nainggolan, Felipe Melo, Fernando of Porto and Gary Medel of Sevilla in the last few weeks as one of Inter’s summer transfer target options for the midfield.
GdS – Silvestre to leave. And Pereira with 12 million…
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have clear ideas on defense: Matias Silvestre will most likely leave Inter and as for Pereira, “12 million would be a done-deal for a player who was acquired for 11 million.”

AS – There’s Inter on Isco but Real Madrid…
According to reports yesterday from AS, one of the leading Spanish newspapers, Inter are on Malaga midfielder, Isco, who is also being followed by Real Madrid and Manchester City. Also, Isco this morning talked about his expected transfer this summer: “I can not thank the Malaga fans enough for what they have given me.”
Then he responded to rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid: “For me it is an honor, Real are one of the best clubs, if not the best, in the world. But my priority is to play on a regular basis. Where I will be heading this summer is a very important decision, and I don’t want to make mistakes. There will be a time and place to talk about the future, for now I will remain quiet,” his words from Laz Rozas, where he is traning with the Under-21 Spanish national team.
Sky – Inter taking a shot at Nainggolan
Matteo Barzaghi spoke to Sky Sport 24 about Inter’s moves in the transfer market. On the table today was the name of Radja Nainggolan, Cagliari midfielder.
He is available for a price in the range of 12-13 million euros. His characteristics match those that have been requested by Mazzarri, and with a wealth of Serie A experience (108 official appearances for Cagliari) at 25 years of age, the Belgian international could help the team for some time to come.
Sky – Ranocchia costs too much, Juve must include player(s)
Sky Sport journalist and one that covered Juventus last season Giovanni Guardala has this to say regarding the heavy rumors that link Andrea Ranocchia to the Bianconeri.
“He is a player that Conte likes very much because the coach has known him since his Bari days. The cost is high, however, and I do not think this is a possible operation without other players involved.”
Inter want a quality midfielder for Mazzarri. The name…
Looking for a quality midfielder seems to be the club’s top priority at the moment because Walter Mazzarri’s 3-5-2 would require midfielders that work well with his schemes. The first choice of Marco Branca is Fernando.
As revealed by Tutto Mercato Web, the Porto midfielder is valued to be 10-11 million euros and Inter are in the front line. Within the first 20 days of June, there could be a meeting between all parties. In fact, the plenipotentiary of Porto, Alejandro Da Costa, will soon be in Italy. The Nerazzurri are ready to strike with Fernando in their sight.
Future of Guarin in doubt
Only black and blue future for Samuele Longo and Diego Milito. The Repubblica is certain that both will remain here at least for next season together with Zanetti, Cambiasso, Palacio and Kovacic. All other players remain in doubt including Fredy Guarin.
Inter in pole for Bonaventura. Cost? At least 10 million
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta are waiting for the right offer to enter into negotiations for Giacomo Bonaventura and there is no shortage of interested clubs.
In pole is Inter seeing how Bonaventura would love to play for Mazzarri as the coach was one that brought him to Napoli. Competition is strong for the midfielder because Juventus and Fiorentina are also interested. The price? Talks will begin at 10 million euros.
Montoya: ‘I want to continue winning with Barcelona’
From the training ground of the U-21 Spanish national team, Barcelona full back Martin Montoya takes a few minutes to respond to the rumors that suggest him leaving the current club.
“I have one year of the contract and it does not depend on me. All I know is that my goal is to triumph in Barcelona by playing 30 or more matches and continue to win many trophies,” said the defender.
CdS: Rami and Dragovic for Mazzarri’s defense
Corriere dello Sport has brought two new names to the discussion for the Inter defense:
The paper claims two players wanted for the center defense by Walter Mazzarri are Adil Rami of Valencia and Aleksandar Dragovic of FC Basel. 27 year-old Rami plays for the French national team and 22 year-old Dragovic plays for Austria, both having played regularly in their national sides in the last three years.
Sky: Jonathan may stay at Inter after all
Jonathan, what an enigma. He has had terrible games, and he has had some fairly great games as well, at least by last season’s standards of course.
There has been much doubt about his future but now perhaps thanks to a few positive performances in the second half of the season…and the past requests of Walter Mazzarri, he may just stay at Inter next season.
“He wanted Jonathan while he was at Napoli, but then came Mesto,” says Massimiliano Nebuloni to Sky Sports.
“The coach is good at reviving players who look finished,” commented Nebuloni, “and players can be better managed having to play only one game a week.”
Having proven to himself and all the critics, that he can, in fact, play well, Jonathan may just be able to give himself enough chances to revitalize the once promising career he looked to have after arriving in Italy from Santos. Hey, we all know Mazzarri loves his wing backs.
Corriere della Sera: Inter target Hernanes
Walter Mazzari wants Lazio playmaker Hernanes at Inter.
This comes from the pages of Corriere della Sera. The paper claims that the 27 year-old Brazilian is at the top of Mazzarri’s wish-list to renew and reconstruct his new team.
Coppa Italia champions Lazio would try to command a fee over 20 million euros, a potential piece of the puzzle cash-strapped Inter may struggle to find. A star playmaker is something Inter would love to find since the departure of Wesley Sneijder in January, however, that would necessitate extra funding from Massimo Moratti. If Moratti can find investors for the club, this kind of transfer would be plausible, but only then.
For his part, Hernanes has asked to hold from talking about his future until the start of the transfer window. In three seasons and 132 official appearances for the Biancocelesti, the Brazilian has scored 38 goals and made 20 assists.
Repubblica – Players that will certainly stay are…
According to Repubblica, there are only a few players at Inter currently that are untouchable for Inter’s plans next season.
The players that the paper claims will certainly stay are; the young Samuele Longo and Mateo Kovacic; the tried and true forwards Rodrigo Palacio and Diego Milito; and lastly the veteran flag-bearers Esteban Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti.
All other players have been deemed in some level of doubt as to where they will play their football next season.
Barcelona continue looking for new goalkeepers
Barcelona, for some time, have been looking for a goalkeeper to replace Victor Valdes. A few weeks ago, there was talk of Inter player Samir Handanovic but rumors coming from Spain in the last few days suggest possible alternatives. The Spanish champions might think of Federico Marchetti who is also liked at Manchester United. Other names are Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Pepe Reina.
TS – Cirigliano could come to Inter but it depends on Alvarez
According to Tuttosport, Ezequiel Cirigliano of River Plate could come to Inter with a swap deal with Ricardo Alvarez, that is if the latter accepts the Argentinian club’s offer. River Plate have been interested in the Inter Argentinian player for the last two transfer windows of last summer and in January. With the arrival of Walter Mazzarri, Alvarez could perhaps see his time at Inter as the thing of the past.
GdS – Nainggolan closer than Kondogbia
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter continue their search for a midfielder. The name of Kondogbia, Sevilla player and is strongly linked to Real Madrid, is hot but not as much as that of Radja Nainggolan of Cagliari who appears to be a more possible transfer than the Frenchman.
GdS – Zuniga is now closer to Inter
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juan Camilo Zuniga seems closer to following Walter Mazzarri to Inter. The former Napoli coach has, according to reports, explicitly asked for his former player at the Azzurri because the Colombian is very important to the newly appointed Inter coach.
In the meantime, the Nerazzurri continue their search for a central midfielder and a striker.
Inter follows Bartra, Barca now offer him a renewal
Barcelona will try and lock down one of their hot prospects. It is Marc Bartra, the young defender who is followed by Inter and was previously scouted by Piero Ausilio in one of his travels to Spain. According to Rac1, the closest radio to the Blaugrana club, Barcelona have offered Bartra a renewal for 4 years.
TS – Mazzarri has chosen to focus on the midfield
According to Tuttosport, Valon Behrami is on top of Walter Mazzarri’s list for the Inter midfield. The former Lazio, Fiorentina, West Ham player is really liked by coach who already had the Swiss at Napoli. The alternative would be Ezequiel Cirigliano of River Plate.
Three focal points of new Inter: 3-5-2, wing plays and solid midfield
The Inter of Walter Mazzarri will have three main features and this was reported by Matteo Barzaghi of Sky. The first is the formation: Mazzarri has already confirmed that he will play with the 3-5-2 and will not give up the scheme that made him very successful at Napoli. The second concerns wing plays because the current players in Nagatomo, Pereira, Jonathan and Schelotto are considered inadequate. For this reason, the club will be looking at a few players and the three most discussed names at the moment are Zuniga, Isla and Basta. Lastly, it is the midfield. We are all familiar with Fernando of Porto (contract expires in 2014), Nainggolan (the most preferred player but costs 7-8 million plus a couple of young players) and Behrami, Mazzarri’s player at Napoli.
Portuguese press – Fernando likely to leave Porto… in the direction of Inter
What if it is Fernando, Porto midfielder, the next reinforcements for Inter of Walter Mazzarri? Well, according to the Portuguese press, it is a very serious possibility. After confirming the player’s desire to leave Portugal, the media continues pushing Inter as a very possible destination. According to A Bola and Futebol365, “the departure of Fernando is possible, in the direction of Inter,” just like Guarin and Pereira.
Inter have been interested in the Brazilian for a very long time but now it is a lot easier because of his contract situation (expires in 2014) and as a result, Fernando would be a lot cheaper than previous transfer periods.
TMW – Contract renewal for Samuel, official announcement by Friday
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Walter Samuel is defining the final details to renew his contract with Inter for one more season. The Argentinian defender, previously believed to be ready to retire, has an expiring contract actually this summer and is negotiating to have it renewed until 2014. The white smoke is expected in the next few hours and by Friday, everything will become official.
Mazzarri wants to keep Handanovic and Guarin
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Mazzarri has asked Branca to keep Handanovic and Guarin. However, summer transfer window is long and anything can happen especially to the Colombian midfielder. The temptation to go to England or Spain in order to play in the Champions League is there and it should not be underestimated. Meanwhile Ranocchia’s future remains in doubt with interest from big clubs like Juventus and Manchester United.
Olé – Inter scout to see Gino Peruzzi
Gino Peruzzi recently stated that he does not know anything regarding an offer from Inter and thus, the player is only focusing on playing for Velez Sarsfield. However, the Argentinian newspaper Olé has reported that an Inter scout has flown to South America to see the player play up close and personal. Make no mistake about it, Gino Peruzzi remains a candidate for the right back position.
