You need to have strategy and buy the players that fit it. They don't need to be super stars...

As for the second part our squad is good at the game plan it likes to play. We won a lot before mou, he just helped us get over the european mentality issue. Rafa's inter will win a lot as well.

I would take Lass Diarra any day! He is IMO really good, not only as a DM, but also can go forward and play some good balls, and keep posession of the ball. It would be great if he comes, but we have not been related to him. Besides, it is rumored that he is staying at Real. Only M. Diarra and Drenthe are leaving, and possibly Van der Vaart (who would go to Man u).

why? he doesn't add anythng that our defensive midfielders can add, he doesn't have that passing game that you need in that position, and it will surely stop Mariga progressions as he would get a LOT less time to play

Javier is loved by us, but he isn't anywhere as good defensive midfielder as Mascherano is.

Javier is tactical aware, has a lot of stamina, good agility, pace, acceleration (although he lost some of that in last years), but he ain't as aggresive, as good tackler as Mascherano is, and although like I've said Javier has good tactical sense, positioning and such, I think Mascherano excels in all of the skills that made a great deffensive midfielder.

To me Javier always was the perfect fit for a full back position, not a midfielder position.

Simple. JZ isnt a DM. Mascherano is and a worldclass one at that. But I wouldnt go all out to sign him....

If you guys saw the game yesterday, we actually go quite narrow ONCE we have the ball, when we defend, we move out to the wings. VDV would be an upgrade because he is more than decent backup to Sneijder and when Sneijder doesnt play, Coutinho could easily play in his preferred role i.e. cutting in from the left.

what lol? Have you seen VDV at Holland? He is central player like pandev is, and wide he sucks, he is even slower than pandev is...

I like VDV, but there's no place for him at Inter.. unless he wants to sit on the bench

I'm so surprise what you said about Masc!
It's very so clear,Masc are better than everyone of us in moveing coverage area,accurate intercepting,tough hustling!

Stop talking about VDV. We're not signing him and it wouldn't make any sense to do so. Like Pajo said, VDV is a central player. He excels in AM and SS positions, not on the flank. We all saw in the World Cup how it goes with Sneijder. VDV just takes Sneijder's space in the middle, since he isn't a true wing player.

Surely not defensive forward Rafa wants, but would slot nicely to the RW I believe.

Menez makes my eyes bleed. He is whining player, and a diving prick. It would disgust me to have him.

Not to mention he is totaly not the type of player we fancy lately (not really a team player/work ethic etc.)
