Looks like we are waiting to finalise the Carvalho deal before letting go of Burdisso and Maxwell. As for Rivas, there was never going to be a long queue of suitors anyway - but hopefully we can find some mid-level serie A club where we can send him on loan and he can expect to start a few matches. I would love to sell him outright, but i seriously doubt whether we can even pinch 2m for him.

:wallbang: I really want Carvalho in Inter, for Deco I don't care and much but Carvalho for us is important, and hope the deal will be finished with succses.

Looks like Chelsea is trying to sell Carvalho only with Deco. It's kind of a package deal :D

Who would you put on the bench between Maicon, Samuel, Chivu, Santon and Carvalho, Besnik?

More worried about who to replace Samuel and Chivu when they are injured (not if).

Yes , Samuel should be kicked out and replaced with another one

Why ??? Because one real fact

This is 2008-2009
Samuel played 19 out 50 =~ 38 % ,

And In 2007-2008
Samuel played 17 the last season

Why in the hill should I keep him if he is not playing because of
Injuries , and notice that the player is getting old , that mean
he will not get better physically Instead he is getting worse.

Please when any one write somthing here , try to write something reasonable not just a scrach :( . its really disapionting to read some of the comments from some members.

We are trying to say the right thing based on facts, not speculation.

AGreed! And FYI Samuel missed those games due to injures and he had some harsh injuries, he never was an injury prone in his career! And If Samuel looks old to you then Carvalho definitely looks young too u!!

Good Night!

So you don't want Samuel because he missed alotta games and he is 31...but you wouldn't mind Carvalho who:

1. Is 31 years old
2. Played in 12/38 EPL games = ~32% in 2008/09

Who is just writing scratch again?

I think some of you did not get what I am saying .

Zanetti Javier is old and I never say we should sell him, he is an extraordinary player.

When it comes to Samuel , its very clear that the player in the

3 previous seasons did not play consistently because of injuries

Go and see by your self the statistics about Samuel :

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=12032&cc=4716

I did not count International games, because its not related to the club:

2004/05 : With Real Madrid played : 37 games.
2005/06 : With Inter played : 36 games.
2006/07 : played : 19 games.
2007/08 : played : 17 games.
2008/09 : played : 19 games.

On the other hand, some of the players even when they get old they still have good

physical condition , for example : Zanetti at Inter and many other players in other clubs.

But when you suffer from injuries continuously year after year

that mean one thing : the condition will probably not going to change.

Carvalho: I hope Inter sign a younger defender,

and I never said that carvalho is an injury prone player.

He did not have a previous history of injuries like Samuel.

But what is the price of getting him? This is another subject.

Remember that he has the same problem at Real Madrid befor he

join Inter , and the probability to continue at the same rate is

high , Do you know why ? because he is getting old .

I cannot read the rest of your post if you misspell Capitano's name. :wth::boxing::rules:

He got 2 serious injuries in his last 2 seasons. In 06/07, could anyone have beaten Materazzi to a place? He played out of his skin thanks to the world's best header.

2008/09 : played : 19 games.

That's a good point.

But I don't see Samuel causing many damage for Inter even if he's getting injuried a lot. I think that he's doing much more good than bad. For example, we have quality defenders to make up for Samuel's injuries. So when he doesn't play, Inter is not much hurt, and when he does play, he's fantastic. I can say exactly the same thing about Chivu.

Another thing is that he never complains about lacking of play time. Unlike a certain moronic French midfielder that we have, he knows that he can't play when he's not 100% fit.

I consider Samuel a perfect example of what kind of players Inter should buy. Players like him, Cordoba, Zanetti, Materazzi, Toldo, Cambiasso, Chivu, Cruz, Dacourt, etc are/were the real professional Inter players.

Those players are the only reason why I still watch Inter no matter how bad we play, because they are Inter.

So sorry, Samuel should not be sold.

There is one mistake being made here, and I suspect it is because someone is a younger football fan.

The past is not a major predictor of the future! We can't say, oh Samuel had a torn ACL in 2008, we should sell him!

It does not work like that!

Getting injured is not the same thing as being injury prone. Vieira is injury prone.

Sometimes when you come back from an injury you will be taking it easy on that part of your body. Particular joint, muscle, whatever. This will actually put EXTRA stress somewhere else, though, your back, another muscle/ligament in your leg/knee,

Samuel is too fine a player to discard. He should stay with Inter until the day he plays 0 games in a season for us.

He is good on the ball, as a distributor, and he is also THE WALL!
