guys calm down. Truth is we do not need any defenders. I am pretty certain that our next purchase and reinforcement will be in the midfield section.

The only one I see might get the boot is Matrix should he fail to perform this year. Burdisso and Rivas can cover his role and we will only sign a replacement should Jose not trust either of them. Chivu, Cordoba, Samuel will be peak.

Even Jose himself said 6 CBs are too much and they would have been offloaded if there wasnt injury crisis in the beginning of the season.

Adriano from where did you get this confidence in Silva ?
How can you be SO SURE that a flop in 2 clubs in Europe in 2 different leagues can turn out to be the best defender in the world ?
Just because his coach said he's a monster or what ?

I believe he was injured most of the time while he was in europe and never really hit a decent form, plus he was very young.

Not only that his coach said it, but even the reports give me prospect to him(maybe i'm wrong). But from some friends who watches the Serie a di brasili week by week, he's just class as they call.

Ah and if he was a flop at Moscow and Porto, it doesn't mean he will be at inter too.

Inter Track Left-Back Mathieu

According to reports in France, Inter Milan are tracking Toulouse’s left-back Jérémy Mathieu, with an eye on signing the Frenchman when his current deal expires at the end of the season…
It was only on Friday that Jérémy Mathieu revealed that he was prepared for a tough season ahead with Toulouse as he battles to maintain his left-back berth ahead of youngster Cheikh M’Bengue. Mathieu’s main motivation to be playing regularly is to attract a bigger club when his contract expires at the end of the current season.

The former French squad player, who missed much of last season due to a foot injury, is still trying to find his peak but has, nevertheless, attracted the attentions of Italian giants Inter Milan according to Football365.

As well as Inter, Atlético Madrid and Juventus are also strongly rumoured to be interested in the player, who would have the option to stay in France too as Bordeaux were one of a number of clubs who made enquiries as to his availability in the summer months.

Toulouse, who lost star man Johan Elmander to Bolton last season, will also struggle to maintain the services of central defenders Mauro Cetto and Mohammed Fofana, both of whom are also believed to be attracting interest in the current market.

Good idea position-wise at least. We don't have a natural Maxwell back-up. But these things are too early to talk about. Way too early.

Mathieu was followed by Milan years ago. He's a very good player, but I don't think that we're really after him.

Mourinho To Raid Real Madrid In January - Reports
Jose Mourinho is planning to raid the Real Madrid dressing room in an attempt to smash and grab his way to Pepe and Gonzalo Higuain as late Christmas presents this January, according to El Mundo Deportivo...

The Portuguese coach is a big admirer of the defender and, given Inter's constant injury problems at the back, Pepe will be the right man to offer the 'Special One' appropriate cover when things go wrong.

Nelson Rivas has been ruled out for four months with a nasty cruciate ligament injury and the coach is looking at the Real Madrid man as an interim replacement.

The 25-year-old will add the youth and freshness needed at San Siro and he may arrive as soon as the new year if Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti continues feeding Mourinho with blank cheques.

Higuain is also on the 'Special' hit list as Inter are looking to take full advantage of the striker's situation at the club.

Real coach Bernd Shuster has hardly used the Argentina forward and it is unlikely he will get regular football in the Bernabeu, fuelling speculation that he will join the Beneamata in an attempt to get his stalling career revved up.

A double swoop from the former Porto coach is likely as he continues to build a squad capable enough of bringing home the Champions League.

Salvatore Landolina

we should go after saviloa too think he is a free transfer and drenthe who is a great Lb,lm

Higuain is a great striker and really young but they paid 25-30 million for him and anything over 10 is a rip off, same with Pepe who is good but no where near the price they paid

Real paid 13m€ for Higuain, not 25-30.

But rubbish rumour anyways.

We dont need any of those players. Drenthe and Saviola isnt Inter material, not even as substitutes.

Pepe is pretty decent tho.

Pepe is a good player, can be a hothead sometimes, wont mind him if we decide to replace Burdisso and eventually Matrix. But that rumour is crap, Real wont sell. Higuan isnt better than any of our strikers.

Higuain isnt a real striker tho.

He is an alround offensive player, he can play anywhere in attack , on the wing as well.

He is a decent player and very talented in my opinion and only 20.

But i see no reason why real would want to sell him.

Lets just give up on having more defenders until next season. I think we are fine this seaon.

Once we get all of our first team back, we will stop conceding so many goals
