Forum SupporterMost Improved MemberI think the main fault was on the referee back then. He refused to check VAR in that particular situation, and after than he made up some stupid excuse as far as remember. It was Calvarese iirc and he retired after the end of the season.And Irrati as the VAR.

10 years of FIFVAR checks are done in the background even if the ref doesn't visibly stop to wait for VAR check. It was Calvarese yes. Irrati was as responsible as he should have intervened.
