I’m sure the management care about an extra 8mil. I can’t imagine the players, coach, or fans really care that much.

The referee of the game is the same guy who booked Barella for dissent in both the Fiorentina and Torino games this season lol. Hopefully Barella keeps that in mind.

Hopefully Barella isn't even starting. We can start our best XI on Tuesday if we get there - might as well at that point - but we need to manage risk as best we can with Barella's yellow count.

Biggest thing with this shit is the possible injuries because of two things:

a) drastic change of temperatures between Riyadh and Milano
b) closeness of the semifinal - final matches (if we make it to the final).

Time between possible final and Fiorentina match is long enough so that there are enough physical and mental break between the matches and time to preparing. But the short time between these matches can be an issue.

Sarri is right. Shameless money grab but this is football nowadays though. What can you do?

I’m not too fussed what happens result wise but if there’s one thing we cannot do is lose Lautaro to injury. He’s the difference between a scudetto and 2nd place IMO. The rest of the squad is relatively deep but there’s no one that can do what LM does for this side. So therefore I really hope he gets limited minutes.

I would field this but we know it aint happening;
Sommer-Bisseck, DeVrij, Augusto-Dumfries(maybe even Buchanan) , Frattesi, Hakan, Barella, Dimarco-Lautaro, Thuram. If we prevail then start Mhiki in final.

Maybe because Tuesday makes more sense than Monday; us playing Fri-Mon is bullshit and not appropriate recovery time under the circumstances.

Just even more reason to start the reserves and, if we end up winning, then so be it and we play on Monday. As @CafeCordoba already points out, huge discrepancy between what Saudi pays the Spanish teams vs. what they're paying us, and I have no real care whether they get a return on that investment or not. We don't have Juventus or Milan in the competition this year to give us something to care about, so in turn I couldn't really care less myself what happens.
