Exactly. You can see Sarri transmitted his “this is a bs tournament” energy to his team. They probably just decided it wasn’t worth wasting the energy trying to play toe to toe with us and didn’t bother showing up in earnest.

Not to take anything away from what was an amazing display of football at times, just need to take it with a grain of salt. We came out ready to win this and I don’t think we really ever needed to get out of 2nd gear, good stuff.

When Lautaro has a good game and was our worst starter, you know we were ballin'

i don't agree here. Lautaro was amazing in some moments. The way he treats the ball is incredible. Like for example at that shot/pass before Di Marco was close to score. The way he defended the ball to not lose it was classic Lautaro. There are generelly a lot of thinks where he's unique, he's becoming more and more worldclass. Without him this team is almost nothing or half that good.

Thuram and Darmian were honestly the worst for me. Yeah Thuram scored but there were too many mistakes, he likes to make complicated things but ends doing mistakes. There were 2 times that he only needed to finish or trying to pass. Darmian had also 1-2 good chance. And at one he just needed to pass at Lautaro that was upfront the goal, but instead passed to DiMarco.
