What has Bolzoni done to be considered so highly?

This guy has impressed many club scouts and was a very important part of his countries under-20 world cup team. Did Bolzoni even go? We dont just buy a 20 year old promising midfielder for no resaon.

both will not play, maybe some minutes in CL, mancini will put chivu on the midfield before play bolzoni or pele...

Why he is not called up again? Even with all these injuries if he is not good enough to make the squad then why did we sign him?

or wait ... is he not in the list for CL?

Federation rules. We had to include Bolzoni because of the homegrown players rule.

But in serie a were these rules don't apply Pele has played while Bolzoni hasn't even been called up.

I think Bolzoni was injuried for a while, I'm not sure.

However, Pele has more experience than Bolzoni, so it's always better to play him in more important games (like the one against Roma). Useless Champions League games and Coppa Italia should be given to Bolzoni to gain more experience (Pele in Coppa Italia too).

Both Pele and Bolzoni should play as much as possible. Especially in Coppa.

Reviving this thread.. Pelé played good today

Nice passing, i saw he missed just like 1 - 2..

Nice shooting, nice defending, he knows where to be at the right time

Good to see him that can be the replacement for Dacourt, now that he's sidebenched for almost all the season

Pele had a decent game. I was impressed with his shooting but his lack of experience showed when he almost cost us a goal.

he was very good today considering it was his first game..i found his passing also very good and his physical characteristics like stamina and raw strength were tremendous for a young lad ..

many a time he played simple balls around the back of the midfield which were keeping us moving...and when he did a good tackle his vision and distribution were of a veteran to find someone out wide

..

all in all more than a great debut from Pele

Good game by young Pele. For the most part his passing was good aside from just a couple of miscues. You could feel his presence in the midfield, is pretty big for a young lad. The potential with this kid is clearly there.

Like I mentioned in another thread, having him sit there isn't going to do much. We have the luxury of having a great squad, so let the young lad get his feet wet once in a while. Reward him!

Looking forward to more performances from him, but this one was a huge positive. Mancio should seriously call up Bolzoni too, I want to see what we have with that young Italian DM. :proud:

i didnt see any of that..he composed himself like a veteran

il just add that all the kids showed potential so far including Rivas against Barca and Fener...Jimenez too....same with Suazo

maybe im off topic but it must be stated that alot of potential is within our squad from these kids

Haven't heard any interviews but Pele didn't look nervous at all. If he still is nervous for his next match he needs to get some thicker skin, then. You've been playing the damn game all your life, fvcker.

I've watched 'Tyson' play at Deportivo Cali and River Plate and let me tell you, I never understood why we signed him. In me you will find a huge fan of Samuel, Burdisso and Materazzi. So, ultimately, where he is at now I think he will be for many more years. But maybe he'll impress me now - I certainly loved Nico Burdisso when he was captaining Boca Jrs. I love Cuchu at River. Living here, I get a lot of coverage of South American football. Never liked Rivas AT ALL.

Jimenez, I must admit I've always been biased against his country. Has Zamorano ever said anything about him? Anyways, solid performance by him. Was impressed (he was crap against Fiorentina besides the goal, though.. IMO). Seriously, all we lack is a creative central midfielder. Diego, Nasri even a wing option for Figo's replacement ala Quaresma.

I love this Pele kid though.

The problem in my opinion is that he was playing for or less as a defensive midfielder covering in for Cambiasso, I would have wanted it the opposite, with him going to the front more than Cambiasso

Of course you have nerves when you are to start for Inter! Especialy since you've only played a handful of games at Guimaraes before.

I think this is the strength of this Inter. Jimenez made an instant impact and Pele didn't make a fool out of himself. Suazo has finally seemed to gel in and is improving. The goal vs Genoa made it a lot easier for him, I imagine. Rivas did well in Turkey and Orlandoni well in Palermo.

All our subs are delivering whenever we need them. This is an immense strength. Same thing with Dacourt last year.

Let's hope we can see Pele, Bolzoni and some other subs vs PSV and in Coppa.

I wasn't convinced by this signing at the beginning, but after his game against Lazio, I have to admit, Pele is a star.

Obviously all what he needed is some time, and he improved alot. He deserves to play more, and hopefuly he can be Dacourt's replacement, or better.
