Also want to say congratulations to Sevilla. Their coach studied our system and tore down our weaknesses like champs. Bummer they acted like shit the last 20 mins, but they deserved the win regardless.

great first half, lovely goals.
bad second half, everyone was exhausted, it was obvious. Sevilla too. No one particularly to blame. Things just got very cagey whereas 1st half was very dynamic and open.
Subs were too late. Couldn't expect them to warm up to the game at that point. Moses was ineffective.
Sevilla masterclass in time wasting.

Overall, this hurts bc it was winnable. But season was above expectations. Hopefully this will fuel their hunger.

Move the ball swiftly - check
Switch sides/switch play - check

The price is obviously conditioning, endurance, but the rewards are game control and opportunities. Conte couldn't see that for 85 minutes.

Well that was a roller coaster season and still some work to do! It was still good to see us in final of something and get early access to CL next season! Now Marotta needs to get few peaces in place and we are ready to give it a go! I hope this loss and second place in the league give us hunger and we gained a lot of experience for future! It took Liverpool 4 years to win something and I hope we have patience to give some building time to our managment!

Core seems to be in place with Lukaku, Lautaro, Barella, Brozovic, Hakimi, Bastoni, De Vrij, Handa and maybe we get few more good additions to really compete! I just hope Conte to do something stupid and resing? If he resing I hope we go after Allegri! I know this hurts some of our fans but when you get little older you will enjoy that feeling :trolldad:

What a fucking shit!
And the shit tonight has 2 names: Lukaku and Conte.

Lukaku played the whole season even above our expectations. And I believe, he is the player with the most minutes in Europa this season. But in the end he fucked it. He missed one alone with the keeper and than an own goal.

Until before the game, I could have said, the first year of conte was a success. But this game gave me a bitter taste. As all of you said, why he didn't react earlier, when was obvious Sevilla was the better team. Maybe overall I could accept that we are not ready to play with double pivot and Eriksen behind the strikers. And that is the reason Eriksen was a substitute. But when you see, you cannot bulid shit you need to change something.

Anyway, I hope he remain the next year. I don't want to start again with a new coach. We need a little bit of stability.
I see many here, especially the purist section of us, are actvated and want Conte out. But 3 years ago Klopp and Liverpool lost against Sevilla, in the same fucking Europa League. And Klopp was to blame also. But I never saw anyone wanted his head. And the the rest is history.

They just did the same as they did against Roma, it was us who needed to adjust, but, you know, Conte's tactical inflexibility has to rule the day.

That was not a red card. Not in that position. A yellow and a penalty was fair.

That was not a handball, or a penalty. The hand was next to the body, the player could not take it out.

Inter created one chance all match. The only chance was when Lukaku was through, which also came about in a fortunate manner.

You don't do well when you have 8 defensive players in the team.
You don't expect to win if you cannot defend set pieces, not with 8 defensive players.
You don't expect to win if you don't make substitutions.
You deserve to pay if you keep giving away free kicks needlessly, when there is no threat.

Deserved loss. Go back to the drawing board, and fucking do better next season.
