My point stands.
German crowds and Celtic and various others have excellent atmosphere. That doesn't change anything. And I'm talking about the stadium itself, not the atmosphere the fans create. That could happen in any stadium.
But entering the San Siro is unreal. That stadium has a heart beat like no other. If you've ever been to an Inter-Juventus or Inter-Milan (maybe not from 2013-2016) or a big CL game you'd never argue against this. Even a tour there during the summer can be enough to realize that.
We do not play Juventus and Milan every week, do we? That's the problem. When it is not a big match, nobody gives a shit about coming to the match. Have you ever wondered why? Because there isn't any much entertainment.
When you enter the stadium, right from the gate to the entrance to the seat, there is nothing that is inviting and exciting unless you get the sky box.
The red zone for example, it is the most expensive zone, but you don't much of it. If you sit front row, there are those railings. If you sit further back, you get blocked by those sitting front row who stand up near the railing whenever we get a chance or score a goal.
I am speaking of my experiences in the last 5 years, I've been attending games at least 2x a year. I've been to the derbies, weak teams, coppa games. Also, I've been to the tour twice in the last 5 years. If there is anything I can comment, the second time I went there it was a very much disappointment to me.
The first time I went there, we were even given a chance to go on the pitch, sit on the player bench, went to the sky box, VIP lounge, etc. Now the tour consists only: this is inter changing room, this is milan changing room, let's go up the red zone which is the most expensive zone, then they explain curva nord and curva sud, then they tell you why the orange zone has only 2 tier. That's it. Then.. welcome to san siro store which is a complete bullshit compared to the inter store in the city. Then you can walk around a garage which they called san siro museum.
You may say entering San Siro is unreal, because you're an inter fan, but that shouldn't happen just to an inter fan. Everyone who visits should be able to feel that Inter home ground, like I said, right from the gate.
San Siro has a great historical value, but we should not be stuck in the history itself.
