20 k seats for a 47 k city. It's going to be half empty of worse every time they're not playing against Milan, Inter or juventus

This will mean redevelopment of the stands in order to make the stadium fit for European competition from 2018/19. Due to the fact the Bergamaschi have qualified for the Europa League, they will have to play their home games in next season’s competition at Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium.

 what a joke

At least they just bought their stadium rights.

We would have our stadium by now if we didn't have to share it with milan, they're such a drag.

We could have done the same as Udinese for instance.

Car park stadium has been constructed in mere months and it looks better than most Serie A stadiums:

In just over two years in Italy is basically a miracle.

Great changes, although the pitch still looks like a disaster.

The smaller clubs often face less bureaucracy as the smaller municipalities are more willing to work with the club, and less worried about getting their pockets lined. I've been saying for years I wish Inter would build a stadium outside of Milan. Fans would still come provided we didn't suck.

Just read that Atalanta has purchased their stadium from the council.

Good.

Roma at Stadio Olimpico until 2020
By Football Italia staff

Roma seem to accept the Stadio della Roma project will be a long time coming, as they agree a new lease for the Stadio Olimpico until 2020.

This week the project took another hit with news that there were too many issues still to be resolved, so a whole new planning committee will begin in September with the revamped blueprints.

According to Il Messaggero and Il Tempo newspapers, Roma have gone to Plan B by renewing their lease to use the Stadio Olimpico for another three years.

This would leave the Giallorossi at the current location until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

President Jim Pallotta finally acknowledged the new purpose-built arena will take a long time to develop, let alone construct.

Roma have played at the Olimpico since 1953-54, leaving only for brief spells at the Flaminio when it was being restructured, most recently ahead of the 1990 World Cup.

Crotone since getting promoted have slowly been working on parts of their stadium. They started with:

And they're currently trying to get this ready for their first home game:

Big improvement and will surely help with the sustainability of the club even if they get relegated.

I feel like these legoland seats are something the average fan is going to look back upon in about 15 years and wonder what the F happened.

This new Roma stadium is in the middle of nowhere, from my understanding. Curious to see how they draw.
