Watched life, expected better.

Dont know if its because I watch a lot of films, but again, it was so predictable. The order of the deaths and even the ending was kinda obvious :lol:

I am watching it right now (pause for girlfriend to prep snacks), shit just went wrong and so far I like the movie. We'll see how it goes. Didn't expect the order of deaths to start this way though.

Edit: Overall I enjoyed the movie, it was tense, interesting, different in some ways than Alien. There were predictable parts and scenes, but I guess you can't really make a movie without having those in it, at least for public that has seen lots of similar movies.

Baby driver was amazing. Spider-Man fking sucked!!! 15 minutes of a recap of civil war, 20 minutes of your aunt is hot jokes.... what else happened? Worst of all the Spider-Man movies other then the cluster fk that was Amzing Spider-Man 2!!!

I'm guessing Iron man is in the new Spiderman a lot then?

Would have liked to have seen a straight up Spiderman film, nothing else with anything to do with the avengers like the old films. Gonna try watching it next week.

Way different. Baby Driver is an Edgar Wright movie which always leads to a unique movie. The movie also uses music is a very clever way. Whereas Driver is directed by a danish dude who likes to use silence and violence a lot in his movies. Personally I liked both

Finally got a day off at home so tried to catch up on a bunch of movies.

Watched Ex Machina, Rogue One, Wonder Woman, Fantastic Beasts and Logan.

Pretty much enjoyed them all. I think Logan and Ex Machina were the standouts.

Yeah, I'm kind of tired of Spider-man origin stories though. We get it, he got bit by a spider. We get it, his uncle died. It sounds like the new movie glosses over all of that stuff and gets to the point, which is refreshing.

I get that, but it's the same with every movie trying to incorporate the avengers storylines. It's also tiring to see movies glossing over the Avengers stories over again.

Guess I just want to see a good Spiderman movie again. None of them topped or even came close to Sam Raimi's imo.

Baby driver is funny and the main character likeAble. Ryan Gosling was a psycho who kills a shit ton of people. Baby driver is part of a bank robbery crew. They are very different and you can actually watch it more then 1 time.

As for Spider-Man. I hate the Marvel formula of it basically being a 2 hour trailer for their next team up movie

Really? I hated the main guy in Baby driver. he was just as awkward as gosling in drive.

I thought the new Spider-man was very well done. Plot was sensible, acting was much better than anything Andrew Garfield ever did. A tad too much Iron Man in it for my liking, but still great.
