How picking a coach could destabilize Inter management; Leonardo unlikely to join

What is the situation at Inter now that Frank De Boer has been fired?

So far, we can report that Stefano Pioli is the Number 1 candidate, he’s expecting a call and has told the club he’s available. Any alternative chosen by the Chinese owners will be just that, alternatives to Pioli.

DG Gardini, DS Ausilio and Javier Zanetti want Pioli over Guidolin, the idea being that an Italian will need little time to adapt. Pioli’s deal with Lazio won’t be an obstacle.

The question is whether Suning will go with their directors, and whether they can afford to delegitimize them again, director of sport Ausilio publicly backing De Boer last Friday, only for the Dutchman to be fired three days later.

The owners have scouted far and wide, essential holding a casting session with Kia Joorbachian providing the names, being Suning’s number one advisor.

He’s offered André Villas-Boas and Laurent Blanc, but both would want longer deals, making them harder for the short term. Then again, Primavera Coach Stefano Vecchi will take over for Thursday’s game with Southampton and this weekend’s tie with Crotone.

Kia has also mentioned Guus Hiddink, who has been named alongside Tata Martino, Marcelino and Vitor Pereira, the former Porto Coach being very popular with Suning.

What about Leonardo? He wants guarantees on his future role with the club, which could be problematic seeing as there are already three directors present. He wants guarantees on his autonomy and powers.

Vitor Pereira :palm: God save us.

Which is sort of amazing, the one thing they did right when they sacked Mazzari was installing Mancini in his place right away. You'd think that this would be the new pattern with this club under Thohir and his handsome Chinese friends, but now we'll be playing a guessing game while Frank catches his flight back to Amsterdam.
I think they were afraid that if we won against Southampton and Crotone it would be very hard to fire him and they would lose the opportunity of bringing a new coach in the international break.

I don't think Inter is cursed.

In fact the phrase 'We are the cause of our own suffering' fits well with Inter.

I think it should be our slogan.

It's not cursed. It's called stupidity and people running a club with no plans.

Can't we take Sassulos coach? Why all these random fired Italian coaches for sucking or expensive coaches that are known to be fired for sucking at big clubs.

I wanted Montella who was awesome at Fio. They fired him for shopping around he went to another team then Milan gave him a shot. They are great now and spent little to no money and actually use their youth

Juve !!! Wtf was Conte!!!

Give a coach that's doing well in the league a shot. Especially one who knows how to build a team without a blank check. Season is done we are out of Europa and no way we will get a champions league spot. The kind of talent we can attract goes down big time. So all these Luis Suarez and James Rodriguez ideas will never happen. Besides neither will make the team better. Our problem is our defense!!! And Handa. God one moment then gives 0 shits the next. Then cries the next day because he wants Champions

Yep, thats my fear. A Brocchi 2.0 will be born...

If I recall Vecchi scored a perfect score on his coaching exams. Regardless little experience and it will be like stamalala 2.0

I still dont get how people blame handa for our situation. He s been our best performer for a long time now and also the most consistent. Yes he has bad games but still if you look at our squad he s been bz far the most consistent.

Di Francesco can't coach more than an Italian side per season, so he'd have to come May 2017 at the earliest.

If it doesn't end well for Mourinho in MU,
I'll bet they're getting Simeone next season.

I never want to see mourinho again. If that fucking asshole had stayed with us, we could have won the treble 2 years in a row. We had a team and a manager who knew how to get 300% out of the players every match. Look at him now, he is special alright but not the good kind.

Looks like Kia wants Hiddink, Villas Boas, Tata Martino, Vito Pereira, and Marcelino. Why is this guy running our club it seems like?? I have never seen so much disconnect between coaches and players, and our management! Why is Kia pulling the strings and telling Suning what to do going against Thohir, Ausilio and Zanetti? What a complete gong show. How can anyone possibly succeed when all this is going on??

The best way to describe Inter Management is : STUPID.
Sacking a coach without having a replacement is true stupidity.

Hiddink, Van Gaal and Villas Boas; None of them will suite Inter. Two are old and expired, and the last is a looser.

The best option IMO is :Laurent Blanc. Good record with ambition to win.
My second choice would be Stefano Pioli , if there are no other alternatives.

Kia probably wants to use Inter to launder money. This would explain paying 35m for Kondogbia.

Pioli, a coach who has failed at every single club he's been associated with, splendid.
