A little harsh imo. He got us out of dog shit and onto a path to sustainability. I'm more skeptical of the megarich new owner who might run us into the ground with the temptation to stupidly splash the cash.

They can't because of FFP, agree with the opinion about ET

Some facts about Suning group, from its 2015 annual report:
- Income: 18.4 billion (euro), 24.4% incremental compare to 2014
- But failed to make a profit (-199M in 2015, -170M in 2014, 42M in 2013)
- Cash flow: 236M in 2015, -188M in 2014, 305M in 2013

A retailer sells appliance, electronic device and stuff

Annual report 2015, in Chinese

I don't like these numbers! Their income fluctuates. One day they are broke, other day they are profitable. If that happens to Inter we are screwed.

Yeah, all I know is that they probably were expanding in 2014/2015, but we don't really care as long as they can manage some 100M out of thier billions of income every year to run the club, like they have spent ~80M on Teixeira and Ramires in Jan. this year

The Inter entourage departed for Nanchino, Jiangsu to complete the final steps of the SCG takeover. The entourage will meet with the Suning Commerce Group who are ready to buy 70% of Inter’s shares – 40% of Thohir’s and all of Moratti’s 30% – for a fee around 525 million Euro. Corriere della Sera report that the contracts will be signed on Sunday to complete the takeover as SCG’s chairman Zhang Jindong received the green light from the Chinese government to complete the takeover.

Thohir will stay with 30%...

Net income is hardly an indication of whether a company is broke or not.

Long story short...
Suning boss: to ET; give me 100% of Inter or we walk !
ET: How much I get out of this?
Suning: A shit load more than when you bought Inter from MM...
ET: K here you go,this are the keys to Appiano and shit, but I stay president in the transition era till June 2017 with 30% then you can get 100%(dunno why tbh)

Reason for prolonged stay? Free access to the corporate wine cellar, of course.

Exactly!

Thohir is a smart businessmen and he wanted to make company who is profitable. Unfortunately, he needed too much time to make Inter profitable and time is money, so He decided to pull back of and invest somewhere else.

I hope tha new owner will be mix of Thohir and Moratti. Smart like Thohir and passionate like Moratti.

So Thohir's '5 year plan' was to basically increase Inter's value and then sell it at a Profit.

A businessman indeed...

Don't do this... This ain't a good way to see if a company is profitable.

If you were interested you could perhaps just look up their P/E (Price / Earning).

Would Inter be the first big European club that gets bought by a big Chinese firm?
If that was the case then it is interesting to see how that is going to work, and I think the Chinese will try to prove that they can handle the club the same way Arab Sheikhs can handle their clubs.
