If your planning on building a team around a 1 striker formation, Ibra is useless. If you planning on playing a 2 striker formation then you take Ibra everytime. Unless current form Falcao's on the table, then all bets are off.

No man I always hear that Rooney is up there with Ronaldo and Messi. Maybe it's because I am in the US and ESPN seems to think that England is Brazil+Germany+Spain + Messi + Falcao+ Ronaldo.

Rooney overrated?

He's not quite the messiah everyone in England makes him out to be, but look at his career stats ffs... 35 in 44 last season, 34 in 44 in 09-10...

he's a talented player, especially if you consider he plays from deep quite a lot. 182 in 370 total for united is pretty fucking good. he'd improve us with a heartbeat.

Go to Redcafe and check Rooney thread, you will see that not many ManUtd fans even think he is world class. He never gets the credit he deserves from ManUtd fans just because of his contract issues.

He is underrated outside the England tbh. He is a beast, scores fuck load of goals playing as second striker and even few games as CM and LW. He plays so many roles and now he is even playing as midfielder.

I don't know how others rate him, but I'm just very very very happy that we are playing with him rather than against him, best example is he didn't have the best of season last year but still scored almost as many as RVP (Who had his best season).

The term overrated is overrated anyways. It's just used to describle players you don't like. So I don't care much about the usage of that word, when someone calls him average player that just how much they rate him. (all it took was just 1 good season for RVP to be called as better than Rooney :lol:

He gets Whiny? Wow, that's something only happens with Rooney isn't it, whereas Sneijder is calm and composed every min on the pitch.

It doesn't matter how he plays aslong as he wins you the games, which is what he is doing from so many years. I don't mind whiny bitch playing well and winning games than Mr Calm but does fuck all for team.

Also no one has scored more league goals than Rooney since his debut. Even more impressive as he made his debut as a 16 year old (or just few months before 17).

Rooney is still better than all of our attacking players, so why are we just underrating him?

ManUtd suffers from the same things as Inter - at least when GingerPrince ain't playing - the midfield don't know how to really pass the ball around. So Rooney goes back to help form an attack....and most of the games he's the ST!!! He is important to the team (well, this year is a little different, he being injured and RVP playing there), but he can have a bad game too... well, who doesn't? But when Rooney has a bad game, the whole team suffers...
