Official: Karamoh joins Parma

Parma have officially signed Inter winger Yann Karamoh on loan with obligation to buy.

A statement on Parma’s website adds Karamoh has put pen to paper on a four-year contract.

It is understood their obligation to buy, which takes effect next summer, is worth €13m.

The Nerazzurri paid €6.5m to sign Karamoh from Caen in the summer of 2017.

The 21-year-old managed just one goal in 17 Serie A appearances and spent last season on loan at Bordeaux, back in his native France.

The Ducali have been busy this summer, also bringing in the likes of Hernani and Vincent Laurini, while tying down Napoli trio Roberto Inglese, Alberto Grassi and Luigi Sepe.

Bad news for whoever cares about our coffin: it seems that Parma actually only payed €8m for this transfer, according to their official statement. Not sure about the rest of the clauses or bonuses, might be activated in the future.

Parma have published their accounts for the financial year ending June 30, 2019, which confirm the exact fees paid to Inter for the signings of Yann Karamoh and Andrea Adorante. As per the Ducali club’s accounts, they gave Inter €8 million for young French winger Karamoh and a further €4 million to the Nerazzurri to sign Italian youth international Adorante.
