i'm sorry for the guys here who are from saudi arabia, but you really have the worst team of the 32. i have watched the friendly match against italy and i was negatively impressed by how clueless s.a. were under a tactical point of view.

if italy won merely 2-1, is because right now we are a mediocre team ourselves.

i think russia will win today.

Some days later Germany beat them, only 2-1 there. So i smell today a 2-1 home win. this is a must win game for them. if not, they will be out of the group and WC already after the opening game.

I love the high overdose of football when the world cup is on... Then the regular season starts and depression kicks in.

The 2026 World Cup group stages will be split into 16 groups of 3 teams in each. There will also be 16 cities/stadiums agreed upon in 2022(ish). I'd imagine that each group will be given a stadium/city and that will cut out travelling. Otherwise, it's pretty inconvenient from somewhere like Washington DC to Dallas, never mind having to go from Toronto to Mexico City!

Also, no games beyond the group stages will be played outside of USA.
