What tactic should Mancini use?

since we dont want anyone complaing...ill paste my post here so disregard the topic i created.

after this official game i believe it should go something like this

i was unsure about favalli but he played well so i got faith in him, and i was also unsure about stankovic on the left wing like he use to play at lazio. but he always cuts across to get great shots on goal and looks really dangerous. so he would be my lmf. now for my 'B' Team. in other words if some one from the A team was to be subbed id probably replace them with their equivalent below. e.g,
cambiasso > davids.
vieri > adriano.
zamaria - karagounis.
NB: cant replace capitano, if we had to i would move zemaria their and either stankovic or karagounis in front of him.but then again capitano rarely misses a game (hope i dont jinx him)

now thats 21 players. i would keep an extra 4 just as 'squad' players.

Cordaz, Mihajlovic (wish it was adani or COCO!), Cruz and Kily (unfortunatly doenst look like room for him with mancini here) so thats 25 players.
what are your views? that means no room for zicu and ventola. loan both because in a few years veiri, recoba, cruz will be retired lol

I like that Ze Maria and Zanetti can swap roles during a game, confusing the opponents.

Very good point Gismo, C Zanetti could be better... it all depends on how Veron settles in the team. I hope Veron plays at the S Siro against Basel because he would have the support of the Boys, and that could help him build confidence.

The great thing about this team now is that our midfielders are very versatile, Emre, Stankovic, Veron and Davids can play in different positions, and this is going to be a major help when some players will be out injured or suspended.

I would use Emre instead of Veron(a big disapointment)
And the game showed that there should be some changes in the CD. That will mean, that I will use Burdisso and Cannavaro instead of Matrix and Cordoba.

It's too harsh. Burdisso looked awesome in the pre-season but giving him the starting position right away is an undeserved slap for Canna and Matrix!

Here is my reason..For the first Matrix havn't played weary well recently. And I don't like the idear of having 2 small CD on the pitch at the same time. It's to risky, even thaugh they are weary good. So that's why I have choosen Burdisso alongside Cannavaro.

i agree with you it would be good for canna and burdisso
but also having cordoba next to someone like matrix is good.
cordoba would be more of the ground player marking the quick foward while matrix would take the one with height.
example, cordoba would take louis saha and matrix van nistelroy.
cause cordoba is quick as hell! and he is good for that sense.

*I have choosen Emre instead of Veron because he didn't play very well last time. And I think that he shall have a chance, to show his worth.

Mikkel, I am in favor of getting Jankulovski too. Here is just the problem: What if he can´t take Ze Maria out of the lineup? That is big problems. We already have Vieri who will maybe complain if benched...

So I was just thinking... Is it worth it? My answer is yes. :stuckup:

Mancini and the management will consider how likely it will be for Jankulovski to get a first team slot before signing him. If they think that Ze Maria is doing well and shouldn't lose his place and that Jankulovski will mainly be a bench player then I doubt that we will try and sign him.

But considering the fact that Mancini says he wants a LW, either Jankulovski or Cesar, I am quite sure that which ever one of these players he signs will be in the first team.

Which is weird when Stankovic is playing even better than Nedved at that spot. We can´t spoil that by playing him as RM!

alot of you are not including veron in your team. i think u have to understand he will be there as first choice playing behind the strikers whenever he is available. (i know his not playing very well but he still needs to get adapted and back in form). his experienced and can handle the midfeild. plus he wont play every game we know how injured he gets!

so what u saw against basel is how our team will be, with the inclusion of martins(for recoba) and davids(for cambiasso). nothing else will change other than that until maybe, canna and the players from the olympics come back then maybe a slight difference. but other than that what u saw against basel is what you should get use to.

mancini knows how good stankovic plays on the left wing because he used him there at lazio (remember the game against chelsea) he always gets the ball cuts accross from the wing to have a perfect angle for shot on goal, very dangerous player. and ze maria is doin good at right wing and no one else will take his place cause theres no one worthy of it.

on a completly different subject, i was readin today alot of you people said ballack plays same position as stankovic lol that really amused me, they need to play WE8 to understand some players positions. kidding, but ballack is a defensive player and always down there doing those hard tackles! stankovic is very offensive, almost playing in line with the strikers. but yes im aware ballack can play there too but they are very different players.
