Can't really do much in a midfield with Zanetti and Cambiasso. It seems he is 2-4 games away from knowing the team around him better.

In the first half the midfield of Cambiasso, Zanetti and Gargano were doing much better I can't see how anyone can say otherwise, plus Cassano was taking alot of the burden off of the team. Then what does Strama do? Take off Cassano, leaves a fatigued Gargano on the field that ran his heart out for us in the first half. Zanetti went to RB to fix the botched Jonathan selection. Milito was a waste of a sub altho he redeemed himself with the cross to a hard working Naga.

The entire second half synergy of the team was botched by one man, and that was Strama.

I still liked the most him playing with fredy and pereira against roma

handa-jz,rano,juan,naga-guarin,gargano,pereira-sneijder,cassano-milito

transforming 4-3-2-1 to 4-2-3-1 with pereira or naga in the mid

rotating trio naga-pereira-cambiasso on the left as sub

liked him alot in the game against Kazan .. atleast in the second half ..

he recovered alot of balls and was pretty solid in midfield ..

would like to see him as a Central defensive midfielder in the next few matches

Can someone please tell me if he played RCM or DM? I couldn't see the game but if I understand Strama's tactic was to move Zanetti to RW, Gargano in RCM and Cambiasso stayed in DM.

I know but he was used as a DM in other games, it seems he likes to join the attack a lot which leaves a gap between midfield and defense. Today I understand he was RCM and Cambiasso/Mudingayi DM which prevented that to happen. Or is this incorrect?

You right, but i think that his best position is DMF, but like is said he can play anywhere in the MF and he can be great anywhere in the MF, so it doesn't really metter.

when he sub in, he play as RCM with guarin as LCM and cambi as DMF
and capitano filled that RWB/RW role,,
its much better and solve our problem, when zanetti play as RCM sometimes he played to wide on flank
and gargano do the job much better than capitano as RCM,,
after cambi left, he played more as DMF with gaby as RCM and guarin as LCM

the crucial point is,, i think strama learn one thing today
he put cambi as pure DMF and doesnt allowed him to move forward
and like torino match, it gives our backline more balanced than before

exactly, I hope Gargano from now on will play as a RCM and Cambiasso DM. Kinda surprised Mudingayi was RCM though, I thought he was a pure DM

I hope Gargano keeps starting, specially as a RFL. he also excels as a SFN which he tends to be abit more NNN, which ofcourse is a good thing for the team.

“Pereira really does need a haircut, we all tell him so in the dressing room,” he smiled. “But if he's happy like that, good luck to him...”
