seeded = EL group stage winners (1st place)

unseeded = the winners of the playoff btw EL group 2nd place vs CL group 3rd place

I think this is the format and I'm already liking the possible matchups. This year's EL is quite entertaining tbh.

Not new, seeded teams are top of group stage, unseeded teams are the ones winning between second places and teams dropping from Champions League. It would form round of 16, same as Conference League.

Only AC Milan and Benfica continue journey after finishing 3rd in Champions League.

In term of coefficient points, tonight Milan and Roma don’t contribute much with a draw and a loss.

Yeah we need Milan to advance.

Roma won't advance or at least I'd be surprised if they did. Brighton can be absolutely deadly and the euro experience is the only thing Roma has on top of some few great individuals.

Atalanta didn't got the easiest matchup here but they have the quality to beat Sporting for certain.

I fear for their fullbacks, they couldn’t defend the wing, in other hand Brighton midfield is not good at the moment and they do show lack of European cup experience.

Atalanta played Sporting in the group phase and had a win away and drew at home. The problem is they will play them in a time when they are playing only top teams in Serie A. Their schedule until April is crazy hard. Milan, Inter, Bologna, Sporting, Juve, Sporting, Fiorentina, Napoli, Fiorentina... So idk, i think its 50-50.

Roma and Brighton are both pretty meh this season. Brighton has lots of injuries, so perhaps that can help.
