I created a fantasy league for the UEFA Cup. Go to www.uefa.com and then create fantasy team for UEFA Cup and the code to enter is 42782-4605

Fiorentina won very easy against Everton tonight. 2-0.

Would have been atleast 3 or 4-0 if it wasnt for Evertons keeper, Howard.

Fiorentina made a great game and won Everton 2-0 with goals from Kuzmanovic and Montolivo..
The viola also had 2 fantastic chances with Vieri and another one with Santana and could easily have won with a four or five zero..
They totally dominated..
Good work by Pradelli's men..

I dont think its possible for Viola to loose this one, but if the do, they would wanna kill themselves. How many clear chances do you need to score?? They should have won this game at the very minimum 4-0.

Bobbo was so wasteful upfront. Two very easy chances missed, the second he made on his own though. That was a beautiful turn, made that Everton defender look like a complete fool, reminded me of Bobbo of the past, except for the finishing. And Santana missed a very easy chance at the end as well.
MOM was Everton's goal keeper despite conceding two goals, the one save he made on bobbo, not sure if he even knew that he had made had safe, but as a goal keeper you job is to get whatever behind the ball you can, and he did.

Bad night for english teams though. Spurs lose in England, Bolton drew 1-1 in England and Everton loose at Franchi.

I made 30 bucks today, I have been on a very good rin in betting ever since Giants won in Super Ball. Have made $300 in a single month. Stupid betting sites actually thought that Everton were favourite for this tie.

Also Munich beat Anderletch 5-0!!! in Anderletch. Toni scored a goal, and is the leading scorer in Uefa cup. Getafe are leading 2-1 against Benfica in Portugal!!, and Rangers won 2-0 against Bremen at Ibrox.

I dont think Everton can win this tie at all. Firstly they have a crap team, and Viola are 20 times better than them. Secondly its almost impossible to come back when you loose 2-0 away from home. you know if you concede one, you'll have to score 4. :p

Also can I just say, I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Prandelli every day. I mean your side is 2-0 up and you are still attacking. I think God gave Manicni's balls to Prandelli and Spalletti.

I have been saying this for a long long time Spalletti/Prandelli >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mancini.

That was a funny :p And true BTW.

How about borrowing those balls for tuesday ? :p

ps. I bet tommorow all papers in England will be wondering why an english side lost to "mediocre" italian side.

I sat and watched this match and it deserved the time I payed for! A very enjoyable match to watch. A great performance by Fiorentina and a good result for the second leg, although it could be fairly more than that. Let me say a 4-0 win was a more fair result.

Atleast God is against the english teams. Both Everton and Tottenham crash out on penalties.
Everton showed so much balls, thats how you come back from a 2-0 deficit.
I dont know what it is with Inter, but we just dont the guts. The reason i was so pissed off after our first leg, was that I knew never in a million years would we be able to come back. Just like the game against Valencia. Sue me, but I put 20 bucks on a 0-0 scoreline, freakin Torres had to ruin that.
When there are other teams, i.e. teams that I want ot loose, they can come back form being 2-0 down. Frey showed why he is such a great keeper, I was very dissapointed in Prandelli as well. I like Viola's philosophy of getting young players, to become a big team, but in games like this, you need some one with experience. Their midfield had all 21 year olds playing in it.
Anways congrats to Viola, after this performance, it might be tough for them to win the Uefa cup, but they might become a better team, with Mutu, Liverani and Semioli coming back from injury.

Ended up watching parts of the game at work. Wasn't too impressed with Viola, especially their defense (Frey saved them on numerous occasions) but they got the job done and that's all that counts I guess. If they can avoid Bayern, they'll be in decent shape as the other teams aren't exactly world-beaters.

Nice to see at least one Italian team beat a team from Liverpool.

This year's UEfa cup looks very interesting. Maybe because we had teams like Shalke, Fernebache, Celtic and Olympiakos in the CL round of 16, and the traditional heavyweights like Bremen, PSV, Benfica in the UEfa cup. Bremen got kicked out by Rangers, and Sporting kicked out Bolton yesterday, to make sure there is no filth in the UEfa cup anymore.

Here are the draws for the Uefa cup quarters.

PSV-Fiorentina [FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]

Bayer Leverkusen v Zenit St Petersburg

Rangers v Sporting Lisbon

Bayern Munich v Getafe

Fiorentina cant meet Bayern till the final. But I bet they would have wanted to avoid PSV as well. I was hoping they would get Rangers, better media coverage, and Rangers are a shitty team anyways.

Bayern 1-1 Getafe
Fiorentina 1-1 PSV
Leverkusen 1-4 Zenit
Rangers 0-0 Sporting

Not the night of the hosts for sure...I wish Fiorentina a good luck for the second leg. They deserved a better result tonight, but 1-1 draw is better than a lose! And Farfan is suspended for the second leg too. Fiorentina can do it.

Getafe... :dazed: :boogy:

These Spanish teams have been deadly in the UEFA Cup the last few years. Hopefully they knock out those twats from Bavaria. It'd probably make my day.

Zenit gave Leverkusen a good hammering. Fiorentina had better chances today, but PSV's defence was extremely organized. Its a bad result for Viola, I dont know if they can win in Eidenhoven.

Toni scored again. Top scorer of the Bundesliga and of Uefa cup. He alone has more open goals this season, than all of out four forwards combined.

I hope Viola are losing 1-0 at eindhoven and in the last minute vieri misses an open net and breaks his leg doing so and in turn, eliminated viola.
