Waleed, I am an idiot. I checked TSN and Sportsnet for the game, and totally forgot about The Score (I don't watch it because it is a stupid Toronto-centered channel.) But Tommi sent a link so I watched the last two goals.

Gaeten, it's funny you talk abut Alves. I read about him not too long ago, and there was even talk of him getting Spanish citizenship to play with them. He is young too (about 23) but looks mature. Maybe for the future??? (You have a picture with him?)

Sevilla had too much flair. Boro looked sadly out-classed in almost every department. Maresca, even though scoring two goals, wasn't very good until he got that nice little tap in. Alves or Navas would be my MoM.

Middlesborough ....
There is just so much luck one team could have, and Boro used every single bit of it in their run, but in the end, they got absolute what they deserved.

McLaren? no you've made a good appoinment England, no doubt about it....really...

Great win and a well performed game plan from the Spanish side. One English team down, one to go. Do not disappoint me Barca! ;)

If you ask me, due to their miraculous comebacks, Boro was too complacent even when Sevilla led them.

Anyway, Maresca is just a strange case. I hardly see him disappoints when he was in Juventus but the Old B!tch just keep sending him away to Fio or to Sev.

I remember reading an interview when he seemed to have a beef with Juve so yes, I won't mind having him in the squad. :)

hehehee...McLaren is the best thing that could happen to Scotland and Ireland.
Seriously...what a goof!!!!!

Great play by Sevilla, specially Alves and Navas(the guy is just 19 or 20 or something). Maresca owned the midfield, Escudé great as well(I hope Domenech saw that and invites him over useless Boumsong).

But seriously...McLaren is great for everyone not liking the 3 lions.

I know, and what’s funny is that people talk shit about Sven. I mean come on... the guy might not be the best out there, but you only need to look at his record (friendlies aside) to see what he has done. We shall see what Mr I’m all English can do for their nation ;-) Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy, but I just think this is a way to big of a challenge for him. Desperate measures from the English FA is what it is…

how come almost evryone here hates England so much? McLaren will do a better job than Sven ever could do. He'll put some passion back in the team. Just remember all them comebacks.

About the match there was hadly anything Boro could do to stop them. Seville played brillaintly and deserved to win but not 4-0.

Don’t hate them, but don’t like them either. The only reason I don’t want them winning it is because the English are so full of themselves. I mean after all they’ve won only one WC on their home turf and that under suspicious circumstances. ;)

I am glad sevilla won it but at 1-0 boro needed to be given penalty kick, who knows how would it end after that

but sevilla deserved it

Not all English people are full of themselves, most are but not everyone. Maybe your right about the World Cup in England it was a bit suspicious but im not going to complain about that.

Milan hater who do you prefer USA or England?

J.Zanetti and h
Cozzi I will freely admit this i am not a fan of either national team. Both sets of fans have an overwhelming majority that is simply intorlerable. Add to that the media from both sides if often wild with praise after simple advancements it is just too much for me to take sometimes.

However if you want to compare the two it is:

England>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>USA

I would much rather see a proper footballing nation win that a bunch of naturalized overglorified playboys win anything. Some of them are still not over their wild celebration from 02 and see that as a solid indicator of success this summer.

Ha! I remember when speculation had it the English FA offered Crapello a mega deal worth millions a year PLUS a huge flat in London.

Oh well, they could've always gone with Claudio Ranieri. I'm sure he would like to play around with another starting lineup!
