Im confused, we’re both showing lower quality lineups in cup competitions, showing that we clearly prioritised the league over the CL?

Anyway, I don’t know if this goes much further in terms of arguing the point. I know we’re all fuming that we’ve missed out on a relatively ‘simple’ path to another final.

Honestly i am fuming more at Atletico escaping Real, City and Bayern in their path to the final. I would have liked our chances against this Barcelona and PSG.

We got the perfect draw, except we didn't do enough to make sure we were a part of it. No possible trips to Munich, Manchester, or Madrid; anything can happen in neutral sites. Fucking hell. Like those Thuram and Barella chances weren't already bothering me to no end the last two days.

I'm fuming at nothing. You guys spend a lot of energy on something you cannot change. It's a game, we lost. End of story. We try again next season, hopefully with a better squad and better approach.

Apart from rfu i have probably watched more Dortmund games than rest of the forum. They're not a bad team by any means. But they have certain limitations. We would have been the big favorites in that fixture. We have better quality in almost all areas.

The CL teams get a certain combined amount from UEFA. This amount is divided in two pots 50/50. The first is a fixed pot where the teams get some cash based on their league position that they qualified to the CL, so 1st in serie a gets more than 4th etc etc obviously.

The other pot is the shared pot. Im too lazy to look up the percentages, but the shared pot gets divided based on how far the teams go in the tournament.

Milan went out in the group stages, so they will get less than the teams that made it to the R16, now since we went out in the R16, we will get the same as Napoli and Lazio. If we had progressed to the R8 and beyond, we would get a significantly bigger % of the pot since we were the only team to progress that far.

Its not in the 100's of millions more, but its not a negligible amount for a broke club like ours.
