if Milan loses next match then it’s very hard to reach 2nd, maybe even 3rd

Not necessarily. It really depends on what happens in Germany. If Dortmund win it will indeed be very hard for Milan and they will need a miracle to qualify. But if Newcastle get point(s) in that match Milan are still alive.

We need ACM to stay in Euro tournaments somehow, especially considering our lack of real Lautaro/Thuram backups.

I was sure they'll do better in CL, but there you go, mofos...

Next match not win Milan is done tbh. Coz they will be in the situation that any of the other two teams win they are fecked :D both cannot lose.

And this group is so balanced that the already qualified cant beat any with their reserves.

So, if Milan finishes 3rd in the group do they automatically drop into Europa league competition or is it "the best 3rd place teams based on point totals" ?

Italian FA should just withdraw Milan and Lazio citing some internal investigation instead of we witnessing such embarrassing performances.. And there should be ban on Lazio, such eternal losers..

Why? You think Lazio is being shit deliberately? That's what I used to read 20 years ago for the Italians failing in Europe as well, which is in no way a good reason for being undelibaretly 'shit'.

Milan indeed risks being last in the group, which is bad for our Scudetto challenge. Then we'd have not one but two teams focusing mainly on the league match week in week out.

Its a sad that team like beelan is one of favorites to win scudetto. Shame we cant capitalize on that. Leao and Theo are enough for them to kill any bottom and midtable team.

People here needs to stop with the "going out of the CL is huge boost to win the scudetto", its absolutely idiotic.

First of all, even if Milan goes after the groupstages, Inter will likely go out after the first or second KO stages anyways, 2 or even 4 more european games dont make or break a season. Inter wouldnt have won the league last season if they had gone in the groupstages of the CL would they?

Second (and more importantly) of all, winning CL games is often a big morale boost for any team, which can translate to better league performances.

How do you know that Inter will go out after 1/16 or 1/8 finals?

I can see your point. Last season, our best form (which got us the CL spot with 7 wins out of last 8 games) coincided with us playing every 3 days and getting to both the CL final and Coppa Italia final. Our bad form in the beginning of the season also started before we even started playing CL matches (losses to Lazio and Milan).

It does help not having those extra games but if a team is in a good and positive moment like we were at the end of last season, I think playing in those big knockout matches and using the whole squad can be beneficial with the proper rotation.
