Atalanta actually created some really good chances against city but they just cannot defend. Sterling ripped then to shreds all night. Scoreline is definitely worse than it should be but still poor from them, they have to defend better. They are out anyway. City should have had Mendy sent off about 5 minutes into the game.

Juve fuckers, cuadrado should have been sent off for nearly killing our poor little yao Mario. Then they get two goals from nothing

Dybala is quite a clutch. Would have taken him instead of Lukaku.

Atalanta have conceded 11 goals in only 3 games

Clearly overwhelmed at this level. One of the problems with minnows playing in the CL. They'll probably finish top 4 in Serie A again because Milan, Roma and Lazio are a bunch of shitters themselves so hopefully they'll be better next time around.

Sterling is at different level now, what a player he has turned out to be.

Yeah, Sterling is amazing playing against Atalanta. I wish Guardiola could turn up against better teams too but that aint happening.

Don't let the usual Dybala CL show vs weak team blindfold you. He's still on 1 goal in 6 matches in Serie A.

Id rather prefer us getting Lukaku and Lautaro duo ( the chemistry, it keeps growing, 4 goals in the last match) than Dybala here and ICARDI and his big fake titted demon in Rube.

Don't let not watching their games fool you. Dybala has one goal and two assists in 335 minutes in Serie A and has been the shining light in most of those games. In fact I think they would be really struggling without him. In fact he is one of the few players who has taken to the Sarri style thus far. I think they would be doing really poorly if they had swapped him for Lukaku like their management wanted

Dybala is probably the one player ever since Recoba that reminds me of him. All is left to do is score from the middle of the pitch and an eventual direct corner kick. And get involved in some nationality scandal.

Dybala doesn't understand the art of swerving. He has a strong left foot but scoring from corners, do pinpoint swervy long passes and scoring from the middle of the pitch requires rare swerving skills and vision. Besides Dybala isn't even the half dribbler Recoba was. Also Recoba had quite a pace.

Dybala is a great player but this comparison is unfair to him, Recoba was on another level.

I think the difference between the first two is their first touch as Dybala's is very questionable at times. I think Dybala is a great dribbler once he has the ball under control.

Oh and the other difference is that Dybala isn't nearly as injury prone. I didn't remember Recoba being overly quick though

That's true, consistency is more important than talents, if a player gets injured all the time he doesn't do his team any favors. Dybala almost never got injured which is a big plus for him. But we're just discussing quality wise.

Recoba had incredible speed. I remember that very good, he almost never beaten in a sprint duel, as far as I could remember, only Oba was faster among our FWs back in the day.

Chelsea with a late goal. Ajax had deflated in the past 15 minutes, it was expected they'd concede at this rate. 0-1 after 86 minutes.

Undeserved loss for Ajax, very frustrating game, if it wasn't for VAR detecting Promes' middle finger as offside & disallowing his goal minutes after he scored it, they would have won.

I can totally see the same shit happening to us now, which would mean another night full of mystical frustration.

Erling Haaland made both goals from Salzburg in the 2:3 defeat against Napoli. With six he's now CL top scorer after three games.

Damn ... Haaland turned 19 this summer and has now ... 20 goals in 13 games.

You may count his official goals from June 2019, including the international tournaments he's played in of course. That number will give headaches.

The kid is a must buy. He may end up at Man City since his daddy played there even if he's a Leeds fan.
