Monchi is genius ...

- sold Salah
- bought Schick with that money
- accepted Chelsea’s offer for Dzeko in January
- Dzeko rejects Chelsea, scores once against Shaktar and scores twice against Barcelona plus force Pique to make penalty

What’s next move of Spanish genius?

I still believe that Schick will show his potential further but 40 mln for him is too much as well.

Schick cost Roma 5m and they will redeem him for 9. They will also pay 8m in bonuses which I trust will be triggered unless they involve Scudetto. And there's a 50% transfer clause or a big sum (15-20m) if he's sold within 2-3 seasons. So it's less than 25m with a future clause really. It's a great deal if you compare it to the ones we have made for Dalbert, Vecino, Cancelo and Rafinha. Or Gagliardini. Let's not talk about Barbosa and Mario.

My guess is that he'll become a legit star next season if they use him more.

Well to be fair, Dzeko was complete shit and a lot of people here ridiculed him for it. Schick... I remember how badly people wanted him here as well...

I don't see how you can involve Monchi. Sure, selling Salah weakened them but it's not like Roma is Real Madrid/PSG financially.
I was actually very curious about Di Francesco's post match press conference. Knocking out Barcelona is no easy thing but he seemed delirious. I'm sure after he'll get some sleep and some more experience he'll handle such big interviews differently.

For those that want to see why Roma does not have a Champions League. Look at Liverpool's goal. For those that know these Scousers, also compare this situation with the one they're whining for in the 1965 Inter-Liverpool semi final and calling us cheats
Let's also not talk about their luck at PKs.

Absolutely brilliant. Not only Roma defeated Barcelona, but the way they did it. Oh my, they fucking dominated and outplayed Barcelona. You don't get to hear that too often, or even at all!

It's funny considering that it's the same Roma team that we fucked at the Olimpico and dominated at the San Siro this season.

I've never heard anyone call us cheats for the 1965 Semi final. People regularly call us cheats for the 2010 final weirdly enough

Dzeko had the performance of a lifetime last night. Pique is a little bitch anyway, but he got absolutely bullied yesterday. The entire time I was watching the game I was thinking 'How on earth did we let this man only score one against us over 2 games?'. He is an animal.

Manolas was stellar too.

di francesco was brilliant... not only tactically, also psychologically, even after the match. he said: "i don't want anyone to say or think: 'we are satisfied, whatever comes from the semi'. no, this is something i can't stand and i don't want to hear. we want kiev". that's what i would always like to hear from a coach.

I think Mocchi has done a good job overall at Roma - his remit is hard as he has to earn money on transfers as Roma plan to build a stadium. They spent 90m and sold 150m worth of players, plus replaced a coach and the team is still looking decent.

Salah forced his sale, there is not much he could do there but he replaced him with Under who looks quite good. His masterpiece was Kolarov for 5m, who is possibly looking like the best LB in Serie A this season. Pellegrini is also looking like a good deal. IMO Schick for 14m plus bonuses and high sell-on clause was a coup. Schick has had injury issues this season, but he will come good eventually. Karsdorp has been injured all season, so its hard to judge.

IMO Defrel and Peres are the only poor deals done by Monchi, and rumour has it that Defrel was strongly demanded by EDF and Peres ain't all that bad.

Just a taste. Trust me, you don't want to get into this unless you have the composure of a donkey.

Very bitter and all of their claims are futile and baseless...

You can see the "indirect free kick" at 11:40something  Next goal was 1 minute and a half later.

if you see every video out there, you'll probably end up reading Scousers claiming that Inter bought the ref or that the game was fixed etc

They are also comparing Peiro's goal to this half-basketball marking, half-football shenanigans

And meanwhile, our dear coach still struggling to find identity on our beloved team. I was blown away by watching their highlight. Full force attacking without fear, even barca has lesser chance that they have . They eliminate Barca with class. Hats off

EDF had a team that scored 87 points last season to begin with.

It might be weird, but we always have good record against jupe. Or at least we always manage to put up a good fight against them.
Unlike romlah which always turn into super saiyan against us. I can still remember how totti became unplayable, batistuta became even more ferocious battering machine, perotta suddenly played like James Rodriguez and so on.

wut? Roma rarely won against us until Roberto Mancini arrived.

Actually, quite the contrary. We used to lose to Roma until Mancini arrived. Then we won (at Olympico?) 1-0 with that ridiculous long shot from Medel. It was during those times that we used to barely win 1-0 and managed to build a winning streak.

Medel was at San Siro.
As for Mancini, we also won with a Mihajlovic FK 1-0 at the San Siro against Roma in his second season but he was atrocious against them. Or was it 2-0? Thankfully Adriano won us the cup. We only had one big win away with Zlatan and that Giuly handball iirc, with a 4-1. Even Obinna had scored I think. Prior to that, we only had one terrible result and performance against Roma where they just walked in the area and Collina ruled out 3 of their goals (4-1 loss for us). That was probably our only defeat to Roma before Mancini arrived. We had terrible games at San Siro and not so good nights at the Olimpico. Even that Super Cup with Crespo and Figo magic was destined for a Roma triumph, an easy 0-3 for them. The guy was clueless from day 1.

The highlight is still for me- when Suarez chased down the ball at an offside or whatever, when in a hurry for a goal being scored. And then shoot the ball to the stands. The brain of his is remarkable.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

This is Roberto Mancini's record vs Roma when he was at Inter:

04/05 - Roma - Inter 3 - 3
04/05 - Inter - Roma 2 - 0
04/05 - Roma - Inter 0 - 2 (Coppa Final)
04/05 - Inter - Roma 1 - 0 (Coppa Final)
05/06 - Inter - Roma 2 - 3
05/06 - Roma - Inter 1 - 1
05/06 - Roma - Inter 1 - 1 (Coppa Final)
05/06 - Inter - Roma 3 - 1 (Coppa Final)
06/07 - Roma - Inter 0 - 1
06/07 - Inter - Roma 1 - 3
06/07 - Roma - Inter 6 - 2 (Coppa Final) - Never Forget
06/07 - Inter - Roma 2 - 1 (Coppa Final)
06/07 - Inter - Roma 4 - 3 aet (Super Coppa)
07/08 - Roma - Inter 1 - 4
07/08 - Inter - Roma 1 - 1
07/08 - Inter - Roma 0 - 1 (Super Coppa)
07/08 - Roma - Inter 2 - 1 (Coppa Final)

8 Wins - 4 Draws - 5 Losses

How about before Mancini?

The losses vs Roma in one decade prior to Mancini arrival:
03/04 - Roma - Inter 4 - 1
01/02 - Roma - Inter 3 - 2
95/96 - Roma - Inter 1 - 0
94/95 - Roma - Inter 3 - 1
94/95 - Inter - Roma 0 - 1
