They didn't, and that's the funny part, they forgot he was banned or something like that
Poor Legia, could be the first polish team back in UCL in a long time and they're out for a silly mistake. He only played 3 mins, not 15. They were 6-1 up at that time so obviously it was a mistake, either that or they were paid by Celtic/UEFA, this is absurd.

Can't really blame UEFA for that because you can't break the rules, but they could just give them a money fine or something similar.

On another note, Napoli are on for a tricky challenge, hopefully they make it through.

FYI,

The mistake with Legia Warsaw only happened because they failed to register the player for the games which he say out. I.e. He DID sit out three matches as required, but they were not counted against his suspension as he was not registered.

Complete loophole and a shitty way to go out, but rules are rules I guess.
