I´m biased but I like Porto much better, and everything is much cheaper, food and accommodations, we have low cost on our airport so it´s all relatively cheap.

If you both decide to stop by send me a PM, I´ll see if I can come to you to show you the city.

We should have a travelling thread btw, it´s one of my favourite things to do. I´m going to Wales and Scotland 10 days in July and maybe to India or Croatia in September it´s a great way to avoid the daily routine, meet new places, culture and clear the head for a few days.

Where in Scotland?

I'm going to Copenhagen this December

Copenhagen in December can be really cold so take a lot of clothes with you and remember the daylight period is very short. Check out the visitcopenhagen website for good advices but otherwise will I recommend to take a walk in Tivoli to watch the lighting Christmas decoration, try the alcoholic Christmas drink 'gløgg', visit the different Christmas markets (they have a good one at Christiania, which has nothing to do with weed btw) and then otherwise just follow the general tourist attractions according to visitcopenhagen as it is a really great tourist website.

sounds like you'd need a week to see all of berlin. lol thanks man, had heard very good things of berlin!!

I had 5 days myself, and indeed ran out of time. Although it didn't help I went with my girlfriend, who of course wanted to spend too much time on Kurfürstendamm and Mall of Berlin

Another piece of advice; if you are looking to have a 100% happy holiday, free of any negativity, don't go to Topographie des Terrors. It floored me. It was ok for the first 10 minutes, but then...it was a bit of a struggle. After 30 minutes I was head in hands on the floor. Because it was winter it was becoming a bit dark when I left. It matched well how I was feeling after that...

Tell Scotland to fuck off, only visit countries that have a player with over 40 international goals.

I absolutely love Florence and Tuscany. Go rent a car and spend a day or two driving around the region. Fuck me dead are those sights beautiful.

Im assuming you are driving everywhere. Edinburgh always has some good festivals on at this time, think you might just miss the fringe but the Jazz festival will be on so if you have a chance to see it i would one night

Not me personally but yeah, it´s sort of a photography expedition with a group of people hence all the travelling.
I think we´ll stay a couple of days in Edimburg I´ll see what´s up at the time, thanks.

Before booking this trip I was really this close to go to Dublin 4 days.
I have a cousin that lives there and invited me over a couple of months ago, than at the last time when I was about to book everything he said he would be out working and couldn´t spend the days. So adding to the flights the accommodations booked on a sort notice plus playing to go for a place to another made the trip super expensive for just 4 days.

Then the opportunity to go to Scotland/Wales appeared, they needed just a couple of people to close the trip so I got a discount, it only cost me +20% but for 10 days instead of 4.

But I´ll go for sure next year, I´ll just have to book it in time to not have to rely on other people.

I've only gone to Dublin as an adult a few times, don't really know much about the place.

If you want a break from the gorgeous Italian countryside, head over to the cost and visit Cinque Terre... the most relaxing place I've ever been to. Simply stunning.

I was there a few years ago and got absolutely trashed in one of the cafes one evening. All I can remember is my friends left me at some point and I was trying to speak to women in Italian and failing miserably... I apparently gave the waiter a huge tip, of which he reminded me enthusiastically the next afternoon, acting like we were the best of friends. Very nice place, though.

Just got back from Berlin and Amsterdam, certainly enjoyed both of them - slightly preferred Berlin though, felt less touristy with great nightlife and food while being much cheaper.

Not entirely sure what you're asking, but O2 is a great choice for a cellular provider if traveling in Germany.
