Hotel where I'll be staying (Park Hyatt) said that the tickets won't be sold till later and asked me to e-mail them back at 15th August. Kinda nerve-wrecking for me knowing that I won't secure the tickets until another 2 weeks. :D

Thanks for the advise though, Katie & Ehsan.

that's ok Han, tickets for these games are only sold one week before the game... so nobody aside from a season ticket holder can have assurance until then.

I'm sure it will work itself out.

When I went to derby last September we arrived at the hotel Friday and asked for the tickets for the game Sunday night. They didn't have them, but got them on Saturday I think. It was nervewrecking, yes, but it sorted itself out.

As Katie mentioned in the previous page, they might be sold out because it's a holiday and it's our away game.

I believe you'll be able to get tickets easily in the Milan sections. I don't think their fans are too fussed about seeing their mickey mouse team this season. That's just my personal opinion so don't blame me if they're sold out  , but Katie can advise more on what's going on down there.

Remember that it's a Milan home game so you need to go the the Milan ticketing points. The easiest one to get to is the Milan store ("Milan Point") in Duomo - enter the galleria from the piazza, take a right at McDonalds and keep walking down the road for a while until you see it on your left.

This is kind of stupid question but...

When you purchase an away team ticket for Serie A, which team gets the revenue for ticket sale?
I am thinking home or some type of split? Cannot be positive.

What about TV rights?

My personal recommendation is 1st4footballtickets.com as I've used them in the past, but of course you pay a premium to any 3rd party site.
Thanks for that. However there are no derby tickets on that site... what else could I try? I'm travelling on 28th, I doubt there will be any tickets left by that time :(

tickets for the derby are ALWAYS available 2 weeks before the date of the game - and it's always announced on inter.it beforehand..

Well, i've been to milano a week before and there been no tickets left - honestly it's hit and miss. Safest is a hotel, unless u have contacts in italy.

The bank they use for Milan tickets is usually Banca Intesa - think it's still the same.

Honestly I don't feel safe telling u that tickets will be available for sure 1 week before the game - u never know with these games

Regarding away tickets, I've never sat in an away section so I'm not sure, but I think you can only buy home team tickets. Even if you sit in the Inter section, your ticket would still say AC Milan on it, so all gate receipts go to the home club. Can anyone confirm this?

TV rights are sold individually, so each clubs has a separate agreement with any broadcaster and gets the money directly. I think the easiest thing for any broadcaster like Sky is to buy broadcasting rights for all home games.

But as of 2010 TV rights will be collectively sold. 40% will be divided equally, 30% based on final standing, and 30% based on number of fans.

Well another reliable site is worldticketshop.com. You can try calling 1st4football to see if they will get them soon or if they are sold out.

yes i'm pretty sure that you're right with the away tickets... if you want away sector tickets you need to meet at the curva nord bar the thursday before the game, generally speaking anyway. The other way to get them is through an italian ticketline phone number.

I think 1st4football etc just dont have the tickets available yet as the allocations won't have been fully confirmed due to it being so close to the start of the season.. From what I heard, the away sector is changing this season, so the numbers might have changed
