Part of the issue here, imo, is that only the Italian contingent of our management are leaking news to the press. Suning aren't savvy enough to do such a thing. Marotta is painting the picture he wants to the media.

My suspicion is that Marotta really does want to sell Lukaku for the offered price. It's how he's always operated. He's just mad that Suning won't allow him to invest all of the proceeds back into the club, so he's backing the bus over Suning.

Just my tinfoil hat theory...

2 cents:

The first thing you always think of when a transfer doesn't go the way you wish is FUCK SUNING. Maybe this is exactly how they work, the management is allowed to do their things and Suning takes the blame off them. There are no good guys and bad guys in this, they are just who they want you to believe.

However, the move has generated significant controversy which is giving Zhang second thoughts, the report continues. Zhang, is reportedly, specifically worried about whether the sale of Lukaku could hurt the prestige and reputation of the club, as well as anger fans causing the club to lose income as fewer are willing to support the team financially without one of its key starters.
LOL if this is true this alone should show us that zhang should not be in charge how can he be surprised that theres push back?
Also ofcourse the sale will hurt our prestige and reputation especially if we get fucken zapata to replace him.

A company(suning) who bought us only for PR reason is willing to take the blame for everything thats wrong at our club while looking like fucken clowns?
Sure this will drive sales at suning stores and make them more popular in europe.
Common now....

Shame that we are going through turmoil again right before the season starts. If we lose Lukaku, many more will follow suit. Directors, coach, Martinez, De Vrij. What a disaster.

At the end of the day, someone will have to take the blame. Maybe it's better that Suning takes it, and grow the club to the point that we can be an effective PR tool, because at the moment we are not.

Or maybe it's just me and that I am the only one who finds it hilarious when people yelling fuck suning after they backed out on Pastore, Schick or Tonali deal.

Well we just won the scudetto and i think for the first time since suning bought us people were really happy with what they did.
Then suning came and decided to fuck it all up first by lying that only one would be sold and then selling two of our top players. Which in turn lead to a conflict between mgm and ownership plus we already pissed of our new coach by not holding the promises that were made to him.
I just dont get how us looking like a circus after wining the scudetti is good for anybody.

Also just for the record never was a fan of yelling fuck suning when they did not deliver a big transfer or anything like this...

My beef is we now know why conte left arguably we also know why Orali left and it s gonna be hard to attract top talent when they dont know if they can trust Suning.
How many coaches have already been lured here with false promises by suning? Mancini left cause suning lied to him, I think they lied to conte also hence we got the angry press conferences and thats also why he left in the end. Inzaghi is here for what 1 months and it seems like suning once again is breaking promises it made to it s coach. Thats just not a way to handle talent.

Heck look at lukaku few weeks ago it was obvious he would rest here as he did not want to move and mgm did not want to sell, enter suning who apparently are willing to sell and whom i m sure also lied to lukaku and now lukaku is not that eager to stay any more.

And yes someone has to take the blame thing here is it s gonna be suning anyway as Zhang is calling all the shots anyways.

I dont really want to argue with you since I've already made my point.

But holding Mancini's exit against Suning is one of the worst examples of revisionism I've ever seen. Fuck Mancini.

It makes you wonder why they undertook this project. They did not come to Milan to spend their spare change because they are die hard inter fans.

They are loosing all the currency they built. Their exist strategy is horrible and will undue their efforts.

Suning sure don't give off the vibes of shrewd businessmen. Their business in China is failing and had to he bailed out by the government.

I would accept the crazy 130mil, but I'm not above blaming Suning for the very sale I support. Pretty much any kind of pressure on them, no matter how outrageous or unfounded, is welcomed atm They were great at the begining and now for whatever reason they are done.

If they understand that they'll probably sell whome they can and reinvest tha bare minimum.

Latest rumour has us at 45-55mil reinvestment from the Lukaku transfer. If true, I'm really disappointed with that. The article on FCIN adds:
* The intention for +80mil is against some kind of baseline but not the baseline of forecast? I'm not entirely clear, but basically the existing Lukaku liabilities are seemingly being offset against this as well. I cant quite wrap my head around how we express that - e.g. what exactly baseline are we establishing that against?

If we do end up with 45-55mil reinvestment from Lukaku, then really that means the Zhang/Suning conversation from the start has been a lie TBH. I'm not ready to jump on the 'fuck you Zhang' bandwagon yet, but if they have basically lied about our capital requirements from the start knowing this would be the likely outcome, then I'll be pretty pissed off.

That being said, we have underperformed in this market (Nainggolan, Joao Mario, etc) - but at the same time if we've got some insurance cover on Eriksen that should at least partially offset some of that.

Dunno. Messy situation.

It still does come back to me though - why wouldn't they sell? They must have a strategy in mind, otherwise raising 500-1billion for Suning would actually be a really helpful move for them to do. The fact that they're so determined to hold on while they have other major problems makes me think there is a strategy.

Your clearly missing my point just for the record suning wanted to keep mancini they just annoyed him to the point where he quit. I wanted mancini out only reason i mention him is cause obviously with him suning made him promises that they did not keep just like they did with conte and inzaghi and probably even spalletti. That does not mean we should have keept these coaches here it just ilustrates how suning does business. When you want to sign them you promise them everything and then you just dont follow through. Thats not a way to run a club...

No point being missed. Mancini was a shit coach (still is) and quitting over not signing his pal Yaya Toure was just pathetic. Especially after already forced the Kovacic-Kondogbia transfer. Suning spent a lot that mercato too, albeit not very successful.

Same to Conte, imagine throwing tantrums after EL when the club was already in the middle of the pandemic but had already signed fucking Hakimi. Because of what? Not protecting him from the press or expected the Scudetto? Either way, it's just pathetic from him.

I feel bad for Inzaghi but Suning owe Mancini and Conte nothing. Fuck both of them.

Yes it s a great example that they are setting by continually promising stuff to their coaches that they then dont follow through with....

Dont we all love it when our bosses promise us things to keep us at the company and then they just dont do it?
Thats also how you get a good reputation and gain credibility....

I mean inzaghi is already pissed at them and the season has not even started yet. Gonna help us alot when we need a new coach and they know they cannot trust the owners.
