I'm a bit confused, being in Europe.

First of all, I use Twitter all day [for finance mostly] and I didn't have any blocks.

Second, I registered for Instagram's Threads yesterday.



Maybe it's because I was a Twitter shareholder and I am a Facebook/Meta shareholder?

Honestly, I haven't felt that anything is different in the last week or so.

someone stole my phone today. Took the kids to 6 Flags. It's like Disney land but with Looney Tunes/DC comic characters. I went to the lost and found and they said they would contact me if they find it.

Went home checked the find my iPhone. It was not at the park but 20 minutes away from it. So I immediately locked my phone put a message " to call my wife and her phone #". Then called the police at the location that find my iPhone was stating. I told them I went on Zillow (a realtor app) and it showed its a single family home.

At first the police said nothing they could do. Then they were like let me ask a police officer in the area if he could swing by to check it out. Luckily they gave him the phone. Technically if they lied I was shit out of luck unless I drove to the house and asked for it.

A much better experience with the police than my normal randomly stopping me because I am a brown guy in a nice car.

Not sure if this is the right thread but i have to get rid of this and it definitely is some true fucking BS......
So one of my best friends left his apartment this morning and seemingly has disappeared from earth. Meanwhile debt collectors showed up at his business and declared bankruptcy obviously his business partner did not know a fucking thing and he never showed up to work today. Now we re all trying to reach him and get nothing. We know he left his flat this morning and we know he never showed up at work plus his car is gone.....
First of i m shocked that his business went bankrupt cause nobody knew and we re close. More importantly I m scared for his fucken life and fear he ll do some shit to him selfe. Of course police wont do shit cause he has to be gone at least 24h.....
A truly fucking fucked situation between calling him every 5 minutes and calling the rest of the group to see if anybody heard of him.........

Not sure i ever had a situation where i felt this helpless/scared and i truly hope my friend is a crook and took the money and ran with it rather than the other option.....

that's crazy hope things work out for your friend.

Bankruptcy isn't the end of the world but its gotta be like 10x worse than being fired or someone breaking up with you. Hopefully you can get a hold of them and things work out.

Yeah man the weird thing here is that after talking to his business partner they apparently did not run out of money or anything my buddy just stopped paying bills somewhen in Jan for no apparent reason... He also seemingly has not embezzled any of it shit is truly puzzling....
