Mobido Diakite [Lazio]
Like a female gondolier in Venice his goals are hard to come by, but the all-action Frenchman grabbed the rudder yesterday and scored for only the second time in his career, sailing in to head home the winner. Forte.
Raphael Martinho [Cesena]
Put in a strong defensive shift and was also a regular menace down the left. Set up the opener when his screamer was pushed out for Santana to slot home. Also had a massive hand in the second. Energico.
Luca Cigarini [Atalanta]
The midfield ace directed the traffic just one way and worked overtime supplying the forwards. Came close to scoring with one long-range effort and a complete nuisance down the middle throughout the match. Scherzo.
Sulley Muntari [Milan]
Tested Stekelenburg on several occasions with one shot in particular asvicious as an armed guard on a Napoli garbage truck. Brought substance and a certain swagger to the midfield while both defending and attacking, with real zeal. Allegro.
Alessandro Del Piero [Juventus]
The veteran's immense contribution to Italian footballmakes any detached assessment complicated, but his essential contribution has been to enhance every game he has played in and today was no different as he scored another vital goal. Encore.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic [Milan]
Another virtuoso performance from Milan's conductor, who calmly converted a penalty then like Real Madrid off-loading their training ground to the city, sold Kjaer and Stekelenburg a real dummy before holding them off to head home. Capriccio.
