Mutari Makes Serie A Team of Week 29

After a weekend of musical chairs in Serie A, Dave Taylor picks his most harmonious XI.

Maarten Stekelenburg [Roma]

Like a tourist trying to access Rome's Via Condotti designer shops, it was almost impossible to get past the Dutchman’s door. His finger-tip save from Sulley Muntari was just one of nine from 11 shots on target. Grandioso.

Martin Carceres [Juventus]

Was a constant problem down the right, putting in several dangerous crosses while having one or two attempts himself. The versatile Uruguayan eventually scored the opener with a perfectly placed header. Accelerando.

Francesco Acerbi [Chievo]

Was not too aware of his goal but showed his class with a crucial sliding tackle on Mattia Destro and set the scene throughout the game with his high-energy approach.Counterpoint.

Federico Fernandez [Napoli]

May not be the most stylish defender, but until he limped off Catania didn’t have much chance of scoring. Polyphonic.

Mobido Diakite [Lazio]

Like a female gondolier in Venice his goals are hard to come by, but the all-action Frenchman grabbed the rudder yesterday and scored for only the second time in his career, sailing in to head home the winner. Forte.

Raphael Martinho [Cesena]

Put in a strong defensive shift and was also a regular menace down the left. Set up the opener when his screamer was pushed out for Santana to slot home. Also had a massive hand in the second. Energico.

Luca Cigarini [Atalanta]

The midfield ace directed the traffic just one way and worked overtime supplying the forwards. Came close to scoring with one long-range effort and a complete nuisance down the middle throughout the match. Scherzo.

Sulley Muntari [Milan]

Tested Stekelenburg on several occasions with one shot in particular asvicious as an armed guard on a Napoli garbage truck. Brought substance and a certain swagger to the midfield while both defending and attacking, with real zeal. Allegro.

Alessandro Del Piero [Juventus]

The veteran's immense contribution to Italian footballmakes any detached assessment complicated, but his essential contribution has been to enhance every game he has played in and today was no different as he scored another vital goal. Encore.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic [Milan]

Another virtuoso performance from Milan's conductor, who calmly converted a penalty then like Real Madrid off-loading their training ground to the city, sold Kjaer and Stekelenburg a real dummy before holding them off to head home. Capriccio.

Fabrizio Miccoli [Palermo]

Troubled Samir Handanovic on several occasions and like a Palermo pick-pocket slipped past the Udinese defence with disconcerting ease. Finally rewarded when with, Cavani-like composure, he sprung the offside trap to hammer in a sensational drive. Pizzicato.

That line-up :yuck:

Hate it when they overrate Del Piero, cameras go to him wherever he is in, while warming up, while changing his cloth, while talking to teammates on the bench, really though what the fuck?? He entered that shit team of the week because he is a legend and scored a lucky goal against us, if he really played in the first half he would not even touch the ball.

you can say what ever you want but milan is profecionall club and we are now just a big joke. when milan players loose the passion for milan they move(pirlo) they don't play half ass on the field and don't care and just collect paychecks.that is a ultimate professional to me. and that is the main reason why players that leave inter and go to other side are rejuvanated and play like we never saw them before. we have lazy fucks who think they are the ones who disade who plays.and when people say well it is not stankos or zanneties or any other old guard foulth why they are in first team and it coach. when cr subed forlan and stankovic even if they were shit they were upset why because in inter lockeroom coach is not respected like in milan. i would like to be fly on the wall in our lockeroom t see what is really going on

Former Lazio Goalkeeper Marchegiani Heaps Praise On Sulley Muntari

Ex-Lazio glovesman Luca Marchegiani is surprised at the rise of Sulley Muntari since he joined Italian giant AC Milan.

The 27-year-old joined the cross-town rivals from Inter Milan on a six-month loan deal in January after he struggled for first team action at the Nerazurri.

But he has since become a regular under Massimiliano Allegri where he has rediscovered his confidence as his performance to continue to earn rave reviews and Marchegiani who was once the most expensive goalkeeper in the world is astonished at the turn of events.

“Muntari is a surprise package. It’s amazing how he has hit the ground running and fit into a team he hitherto didn’t play for,” Marchegiani said

“He’s performing above expectations. May be that could have come from the Africa Cup of Nations because he virtually wasn’t playing during his days at Inter,”

Former Lazio goalkeeper Marchegiani heaps praise on Sulley Muntari

I said it before that Muntari is the kind of player that bilan needs, a bone cracker. Someone who play recklessly like Gattuso uomo di merda.

Muntari was a gun for us too in 08/09, his first season. He was complete utter rubbish afterwards though.

Regardless, he's crap for us = We sell him. If he turns out to be the 2nd coming of Makelele with Milan, not our fault.

awful today. back to the player that has been passed around multiple teams in the last few years

Stated this previously and stating it now - Muntari is a shit player. Abate's crosses look heavenly good compared to his shit ones. No heart, no determination and no hard worker's attitude.

Dont sign him!!!

Get the fuck off Milan ..Really

Dumbari+Mexes+linesman= fuck them all!
As seen in Milan forums.

Seems that Muntari love affair with BBilan has already ended:troll:
LOL @ Bbilanista who were already announcing "just like Pirlo, we'll turn your garbage into WC players", "you fucked up with him, he'll be a beast with us" bla bla bla, just because he had a few decent games :trollol:

Now back to the old good Sulley we've all learned to hate :proud:

Exactly, I was glad it was all going to plan when he was putting in those decent performances. Please Muntari, do it for a few more games so they sign you.

Can't help but notice the 0 thanks in this post. Even though that's some legendary shit (A Milan player wearing an Inter equipment), Muntari completely reverses the impact. :yao:

He just scored a bomb from what looked like 30 yards out. 12 games with 2 goals.
